Hey all, I have a Steelseries Arctis 7+ and am using it with my Windows 11 PC. For some reason, my volume control isn't working - at 0% it plays nothing, but at 1% to 100% there is no difference in audio (just plays it at full). Any ideas or has anyone else had the same issue?

Depends on the keyboard? To take my own for example, the Apex Pro, only the "main" section contain Omnipoint switches. That is the block of keys with the letters etc. All surrounding keys, including the arrow keys, are "regular" red switches. So in that case they will sound different.

I can also see arrow keys in general sounding a bit different seeing as they are one of the few keys that are not really surrounded by too many other keys. So sound might be differently from there, that is mainly speculation though.

If it is a discord call, I would go into your discord settings, Voice and Video, and scroll down to check if "Attenuation" is on, as this lowers the volume of other applications when someone speaks

and switched the Headphones Arctis Nova 3 as default communications device

cuz if I let sonar pick for me it will select something else and it will start cracking and popping

When it comes to the Nova 7s, Is there an effect on voice quality if you adjust in the GG engine vs using the ps5 software level slider? Which compresses your voice? No one really has optimized mic settings (which I guess makes sense since it varies from setup to setup), but I struggle to drown out ambient noise in my room while keeping my voice somewhat clear.

Little late to the party here, but I'd go wit the Nova 7. They have better sound quality, build quality, battery life, quick charge, and keep the duel 2.4ghz + Bluetooth connectivity feature from the old Arctis 9.

I used the 9 for about a year and a half and I loved it, but the Nova 7 is an improvement in just about every way.

The only channel I can hear is Chat. I can't hear the sound coming out of the gaming and media channels and I don't know why. My Arctis Nova Pro Wirelss is having trouble defaulting to the Line Out in Sonar when I turn my headphones off. Sonar is changing all of the outputs to something that isn't "Headphones" and I have to change it everytime I turn my headphones off so I can listen through my speakers

I know as far as discord goes that you would have to turn on noise suppression when you’re in a discord call. Unfortunately there isn’t a setting to reduce the noise on older models of the headsets except for the Nova headset which has Clearcast AI built to reduce noises in the background.

Nova Pro wired and awful microphonics! With my Arctis Nova Pro I have extremely unpleasant and loud noises when the cable moves and rubs against the body or table. Will swapping out for a better quality cable can improve this? Maybe @undone rapids or someone else has a tip! Thx! 🙏

The 7 and 7X are pretty much the same except for the 7X being compatible with Xbox. The 7P works with PC and PlayStation, but not Xbox, and also has a sidetone dial instead of a ChatMix dial like the the 7 and 7X. Other than that they're the same sound and build quality wise

Personal preference. ChatMix doesn't work on PS5 so if you're mainly going to be using the headset with the console the sidetone dial on the 7P might be helpful if you like to hear your own voice coming through the mic to know how loud you're talking. If not, go with the normal 7 so you have the ChatMix dial to use on PC

Please keep in mind that mods don't work for SteelSeries and don't do support (we do try to help where we can though). You can only get help from SteelSeries through the ticket system on the website

The app becomes unresponsive after the connection is restored, but your keybind and RGB settings remain active

It would be cool if there were more options for like prismsync for the mousepads, just incase something didn’t look right there would be like an option to change how the colors move for the mousepad since if your option is ⬆️ or ⬇️ the mousepad may not look as good especially if it’s at a higher speed.

Anyone else have the problem where Sonar doesn't open correctly on startup? I manually open GG when I turn my computer on and sometimes Sonar will just be a spinning load screen infinitely until I restart again or use task manager to force close.

Also when that occurs, if I go into settings it already says "Turning Sonar Off" yet I did not tell it to do so, just opened up the program.
