i had the arctis 1 wireless and the wireless range was full of lose. i was looking for the arctis pro, and i ended up with the nova pro, which i learned today are not the same thing, but i tested out the wireless range on this headset earlier, just loaded a game to hear the game music while wandering aimlessly around the house. i can go into every room of the house and still have sound. only i didn't try to go outside because it was 20 degrees.

so not sure which would be better, arctis pro or arctis nova pro, but what i was looking for first and foremost was wirelelss range

i hunted all over the earth for a wireless headset that wasn't bluetooth, the nova pro has both options, and i dont like bluetooth .. so i got what i needed. then i started looking at the software, and discovered 'sonar' so am looking forward to hearing that. i dont have anything to do on second life today so i think i will go play a game, and see if i notice it sounding any different.

I have a bizarre issue at hand. I have a hyperx microphone, and I'm running my headset through the microphone as well. I also have a stream deck, and I'm using the sonar software to mix. The issue I run into, is I can no longer play audio from my stream deck to go into my microphone, to then go into the game I'm playing, or the discord chat. My question is, how do I make the audio from my stream deck, go to the microphone and headset, instead of just the headset.

Does spatial audio turn a headsets subwoofer/bass off? When I turn on spatial audio in Sonar, and listen to the spatial test track I can every direction and voice correctly (Side-left, Side-Right... and so on) But when the deep voice says "Subwoofer" You can't hear it. Arctis Nova Pro Wireless? I believe you can't save it to the base station and use it on PS5, as I understood from many tests and reviews. Sonar and all related settings work only on PC, xbox, PS and others use only the EQs stored in the station

however, you could at least mimic the EQ settings from SONAR and manually create a custom EQ in DAC

Hey guys. Just bought the Arctis Nova 3 and straight away there are issues with low-volume playback. The audio start to crackle and stutter badly when the volume is low. It happens both in games and YouTube, especially ehen there are low deep sounds. This only happens when connected via USB, the 3.5mm works fine. Tried reinstalling drivers, disabling audio enhancements, turning off sonar/gg and nothing worked. Any fixes or ideas as to why this might be happenning?

Yeah I know I also helped some other people with the headset because you need to have the steelseries sonar software in order to be able to use the mic but a lot of people didnt know that. The problem I see most people having right now with the nova 1 headset is that there mic is making a weird/ static noise even when your on mute or not talking in the steelseries software mic tester. The mic button also somehow doesn’t make your mic completely muted so people can still hear you a little bit but I think it has something to do with the software because it’s only in the sonar mic tester and not ingame. I will try and to let people know what the problem is when I get a respond to my ticket.

Hey guys, I just got a Nova 7 headset and I noticed that with Sonar the one headset comes up as 5 different devices when I go to select an output in my Windows settings. It just a little bit annoying to have to scroll through them all every time I switch from speakers to headset. Hi all, not sure if this is enough of a support topic so I won't make a post yet, but I got the Arctis Nova Pro wireless headphones today, and my Sennheiser PC 363Ds (from ten years ago) seem to blow them away, bass-punch-y wise.

I've installed the GG software, and am using the Modern Warfare II Sonar preset, but guns and explosions near me sound super-muted compared to the Sennheisers. Am I missing something here?

Only on setting it up it might take like 2-3 hours to have good settings and updating but once you've done it it's a very good headset

i found a flaw with the arctis nova pro wireless. the battery charging port does not have a cover, so as it sits on my desk things could get inside it. i think this was a serious oversight by steelseries. when not in use that thing should have a cover to go over it 😦

it's all expensive. but when you are looking at graphics, you are not going to want to cut corners. get something nVidia, and yoiu will not have any regrets. do some research and find out what a solid mid-range graphics card will cost you. yoiu want nVidia, yoiu want at least 4gb video ram, as for cpu, do you really need a new one? anything 2.4 gh or faster will be good, you might want to look at a cpu that has more than one core, Intel is still the best i think. but even with intel you can find something suitable that isn't top of the line expensive. but if yoiu want a good solid gaming pc, set some money in the bank. my pc i have now cost me about $1400 after taxes. if you are getting 'new stuff' make sure you have a nice strong power supply too.

safest graphics card option thats not very expensive but solid for the majority of games is a 1080

if you got the money tho a 3080 is good

oh! and pc ram. if yoiu have less than 16 gb ram, consider a ram upgrade. even if you have 4gb video ram, if you don't have enough ram on the pc, your gaming will suffer.

my pc is 2 years old, gonna be 3 years old soonish. i got it with the stimulus money

i added upgrades when i bought it i got a bigger power supply, and i got windows 10 pro .. i have not regretted it, because with pro you get the ability to pause windows updates, which i have done before for 30 days, and i tell you if you are going to have a super gaming session, you got windows pro, pause updates for 7 days - you can unpause them at any time .. but then you know your pc won't be downloading crap in the background while you are trying to shoot random robots

Anyone good with Sonar? windows is detecting my headset but sonar shows nothing under the playback device dropdown menu

have done clean install and retsart/delete all devices and drivers 3 times now and nothing.....

I well and truly have no idea what he's on about. Install Steelseries GG, open Sonar, use audio eq presets (one button click) and enjoy the experience. If you want to get more technical you are free to but these are not some niche headphones for audiophiles that have to take hours to set up to enjoy their value. Mess around with steelseries GG as there's a fair bit it can do for your headphones.

--> it's intuitive, it won't take hours.

Of course do update the headphones which can be done via Steelseries GG and it'll prompt you to do so anyways

The immediate thing I noticed about the nova's was the comfort, then the GameDac made changing volume and talking to people a hassle-free experience since I could easily use the dial to adjust mic volume, game volume etc in mere seconds and change the EQ in seconds too.

The microphone is nice, and is retractable so you can put it away and forget about it. Though these are gaming headphones so comfort and communication are the primary factor, if you primarily commute and don't game that much I wouldn't recommend gaming headphones

I had issues on start, that's because I do not use gaming headphones often though. I have the Arctis Nova Pro, not the 7 my bad I misread yours and thought it said Nova. Regardless, the 7's won't take hours to set up - remember this is a large company that want to attract every kind of gamer so they'll streamline the process

@stray axle i said, nvidia graphics with at leasst 4gb video ram, at least 16 gb ram on the motherboard, a cpu faster than 2.4 gh with several cores, a hefty power supply, google is your friend, make sure you get what goes with your specific computer .. don't skimp on graphics if you can afford it go wild
