Hey everyone, I've just got an Arctis 9 and it was working fine yesterday, set it up as I like it without any sidetone. Today I randomly had no audio output. I reconnected the headset & it now has sidetone on and nothing I do in the app changes it, and the only way to get any audio output was to turn on Sonar

I mean, If you have another cable you can try first I’d try that one before spending money on the original cable, because it’s not guaranteed to be the cable’s issue. It sounds like to me, it’s one of a few things, either a somehow defective product which is strange, or a possibly defective cable, or something we aren’t acknowledging. If you want you could buy the original cable to see if it’s the cable your currently using, or you could go straight to steelseries’ official support so they can rule it out themselves which would then put you steps closer to getting a replacement product if it does end up being defective (somehow)

The official Xbox version no longer powered down because they prioritized solving an issue for the PS5 instead (would not stay on to charge battery in the basestation). Imagine that.

Now that they have included a new Power Saving feature, it's almost best of both worlds for all the platforms it supports.

Xbox Users workaround for that meantime, was to, literally unplug the USB cable from the console after usage, and, reinsert prior to usage! hehe

I can use the sound and microphone at the same time but the sound quality is going down i also have got it in discord. i tried alot of things like turning handsfree telephony off but it doesn't work. it sounds like when you call on your phone and start playing music at the same time. Typically, (from my knowledge) is that, with bluetooth... when there's both audio coming in (to your ears) and you're using the mic.. it switches to a protocol that makes things sound a little bit worse because of bandwidth limitation.

Basically click on the sonar tab, in the mixer category next to one of the 4 outputs/inputs there's a settings icon in the shape of a gear. Click on that gear icon and it'll show a popup with some options, one of which should be Playback/Input. Click on that dropdown box and select the audio device you want to assign to that thing. So for me I want my game audio (and general windows audio) route to my Nova Pro's, so in that box I select "headphones (Arctis Nova Pro)"

Then I'll assume you don't have the GameDac that the other person was talking about. Disregard what they said it'll complicate things.

What you need to do is download the Steelseries GG app, when that's done you need to activate Sonar within the app (on the right side of the app there should be a bunch of tabs - "Home", "Moments", "Engine" and Sonar should be one of the tabs) and adjust the relevant channels in the now open Sonar panel
The one you want is likely "Chat" in Sonar, under "mixer"
If you want to customise "chat" in more depth then go to the "chat" tab at the top of the sonar panel

Most(all) the time from experience when someone says something's a "driver" issue it isn't and my problem isn't resolved. That being said however, first thing I did was download the steelseries GG app and my arctis nova pro headphones heavily suggested a critical update so that might help, could be different from headphone-headphone tho

uninstall gg yes uninstall to do this goto search type control panel enter control panel top right if it says catagory drop it down and select large icons this will show the proper control panel apps then scrollto find and click "programs and features" then in the window scroll until you find steelseries and highlight and click uninstall then click back until your in control panel again and click "explorer file and folder options" then select "show hidden files, folders and drives" click apply and ok close goto c drive and delete steelseries from "programfiles" and " programfiles (x86) " and "programdat" unplug your device reboot and before you plug back into a different port install gg login to your account plug your device back in and activate sonar ....... it should then work properly

If anyone gets the horrible audio problem with Nova Pro wired through GameDac, it's because the wire connecting GameDac and the Headset has to be flipped. That fixes all the horrible audio problems I had. Amazing headset!
