I need help with my Actic Nova Pro Wireless Headset, the hub as i call it has a Line in and a Line Out, the line out works great with one of my external speakers, however the headset can get uncomfortable wearing all day and so i wanted to use a external Mic which my guess you plug it in the Input side but i have no idea how to get it to work. Would someone assist me figure out what i need to pick for my windows 11 which device to pick?

My SteelSeries app updated to the newest version, but now even if I switch Sonar off and I turn it back on I have no audio in my Arctis 7x headset. On the previous version of the app all I had to do was turn Sonar off and back on and my headset's sound would return. How do I fix this? I didn't pay over $100 to have a headset that Sonar doesn't work on! I tried closing and reopening SteelSeries, and even repairing my headset with the receiver, but still nothing is fixed. I am highly disappointed in this headset as most of the time I must shut the SteelSeries app off and use the headphones without it.

Could I get some help with my GG not working?
I've been sat here for over an hour trying to log into my steelseries gg account in order to use sonar but it's always telling me "Your password or Email were incorrect.", no matter what I do. I've tried creating a new account but then it just tells me "Our service is having trouble responding." I've checked for any VPN and I don't have one. I can't seem to find anything closely similar to choose in the support on their website either. What am I missing?

I have reinstalled GG entirely but it didn't help either.
I should also mention that I am completely capable of logging in on their website.
It's only on the GG app that it's refusing
Oh and it was working completely fine yesterday, like it has been for years.

The worst part of this is that my whole audio set up for both using my pc as well as streaming was set up with Sonar/ the GG app and i havent been able to get it back up and running which has stopped me from streaming pretty much at all because of how much simpler Sonar is to set up and get rolling in comparison to any of the other apps that feel like i need to be a professional audio technician to operate without having my game audio bleeding through my mic input as if im back on xbox using one of em cheap ass turtlebeach headsets

Okay, I was finally able to find a fix.
I downgraded to a 89. 1 version instead of staying at 90. 0 version.
The problem seems to be with the current 90 version.

in my experience it's always worked this way. sonar doesn't show the mic sound meter unless it's active somewhere else, like if the windows audio settings are open. it doesn't affect the functionality of the mic, just the little UI of the sound meter in sonar.

That only has to be on when you want to clip your desktop, which basically means any game that is windowed, your browser or any other application

It just turns off because you focus into a game that is in fullscreen mode

When ''Gameplay capture'' is turned on you can still clip your game with Alt+S or any other shortcut that you set in settings

Hey guys i just bought a nova 1 and got plenty of problems.
Every audio i hear is forwarded to the microphone for some reason and i mean every audio.
I think the issue is on sonars or realtek's side but sonar is heavier since realtek doesnt do much unlike sonar.
Even if I mute myself they still hear the sounds, i tried installing again it didnt fix it, i tried configuring from windows sound settings it didnt do anything, i tried realtek's panel it didnt do anything. I really need help thanks.

so it seems that realtek is taking the nova 1's input and making it its own one and then making the nova one dissappear and then sonar making the realtek's one default one and not showing the headsets microphone visible even though you somehow enable it from the windows device manager.

my friend has arctic 3 and has the same problem he raised the voice threshold so it doesnt take the echoes but if you go and increase the volume of your media people still hear it since it passes the threshold

Hello, I have a problem. I bought Nova 5x headphones a few days ago. The sound was fine, absolutely fine, until I turned on the Steel Series GG app, and since then I've been hearing a strange echo in the headphones. I turned off Sonar in the app, and I also turned off the entire app. My headphones are set to the classic "SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X" setting. Hi everyone, I’m having major issues with my SteelSeries Arena 9 speakers and my Corsair Virtuoso XT headset.

Here’s what’s happening:

I use the Virtuoso XT with the wireless USB dongle, and the Arena 9 through USB as my main speaker setup.

I recently disabled SteelSeries Sonar in Device Manager because it was making my audio output selection too complicated. After that, things were working fine for a moment.

But now, the center speaker of the Arena 9 doesn't output any sound. I've:

    Rebooted the PC

    Switched USB ports

    Unplugged and replugged the speakers

    Turned the Arena 9 off and on using the rear button on the subwoofer

Windows also showed a message: "This USB controller does not have sufficient resources", which I assume means there's some kind of USB bandwidth issue.

I tried plugging the Arena 9 and the Virtuoso dongle into completely different USB ports, including front panel ports, but the problem remains.

Any ideas on how to restore full 5.1 output, including the center channel?

The "Steelseries Sonar-Gaming" was selected i switched back to the original one and i can hear everything but does this eliminate the use of sonar? Do i have to change something in the settings?

Yes. Bluetooth is terrible for PC gaming and that headset is mainly for Xbox so it uses the Xbox wireless system. So that's why it's recommended to use the Xbox wireless adapter on PC

Hi, I have the Apex Pro Gen 3 TKL (64894) keyboard and I’m having trouble with the polling rate settings. I plugged it into a high-speed USB port labeled SS10 (USB 3.2 Gen 2) on my PC and did a full forced reset on the keyboard. the transmitter depends on what you're looking for a small dongle might be more compact but the transmitter has the battery charger, controls and more input options

Set your game output to the headset's game output and the chat output to the headset chat output. Then you can use the ChatMix function directly on the headset/transmitter

Im having some problems with the Steelseries alias pro, where it doesnt show up as an input device any more, and thus doesnt work anywhere on my pc. The one named Steelseries alias pro stream doesnt work. I unplugged it cause i brought my pc away for a week, but now that im back and plugged it back in it simply doesnt show up. There used to be an imput that was just called "steelseries alias pro input"

Hey, I own Arctis Nova 5 and I have an issue.
System changes the output device for each app, for example discord uses Sonar - Chat or Windows uses Sonar - Gaming etc etc. I don't hear anything when one of these modes is used, I need to change it back to default SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5.

Why is that? Why don't I hear anything on these modes?

So I wanna start using Sonar (I really really wanna) - But heres the thing. I'm coming over from Voicemeeter Potato. Have no issues with it, quite like it infact but i'm done with their scammy payment model - I switch often between headset and desktop speakers. Upon my initial setup of Sonar I havent found a way to be able to add both to sonar so that I can just switch at the click of a button (like i do in VM potato)?

Instead I have to go in and select from the drop down.

Hi all. I'm having an issue where my Arctis Pro Wired headset shows as not connected in teh Engine app.

What I've done so far:

1. Reinstalled the software and ensured it's the latest version
2. Changed USB the hardware is in. It seems to work and show as connected for a few minutes or until a restart, and then it's back to not connected.
3. Tried disabling in Device Manager but the hardware doesn't show there.

Any and all help will be appreciated

Does anybody know why there is a price difference for the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless? When I choose the PC version it's more expensive. The PlayStation version is cheaper but the same headset works on both. I would like to get one but I'm not sure which one is right. I also play on PlayStation and PC.

When I change between my headphones and speakers using the CTRL+ALT+V menu directly in Windows 11, audio for media mixed stuff is remaining on the headphones until I manually change the output in Sonar. Has an option changed somewhere that I'm missing?

Hi, how are you? I live in Brazil and just got back from Florida. There, I bought an Apex Pro Mini Wireless on Amazon. When I got home to try to connect the keyboard to my computer, the keyboard even connected, but after connecting it, I couldn't type anything at all. I checked steel series GG: mic volume is set to max and volume limiter is off. In windows settings mic volume is also set to max. What can I do to make this better? It's really annoying

Hey ive been looking around trying to get an understanding on what exactly the arctis pro wireless base station is, and how it works essentially, but nothing has been showed to me with indisputable results, i want to know if it solves any problems with clutter, such as headphone and controller stands on tabletops, and if the base station can double for a USB hub of sorts,

Just bought this headset (Arctis 7x Wireless I think?) And it seems to have ALOT of features.
Google tells me to go to engine. There is none.
Downloaded the app thingy, and tried to use the mixer to simply turn stuff off. No go.
Am I just stupid, very likely. But is there really no way to simply have a NORMAL headset, with a mic? @round holly

Yep, it is

Here's the back of the Nova Pro Wireless. It has 2 USB-C ports which can be used for PC or PlayStation. There's also an Xbox version that has 1 USB-C port for Xbox only and then the second can be used for PC or PlayStation.

It also has line in and out, that can be used to input sound you can hear while listening to USB sound (please not it can't adjust the sound coming in on the line in). Line out can be used for speakers or as a streaming output (this includes mic sound from the headset)
