I just got a steel series arctic nova pro wired for pc windows 11 and my audio input isnt working. In my pc settings it says my discord input audio level is at 1%. Anyone know what I can do to fix this issue? Also, if i scream i can be heard on discord, so i know my mic is working, its just set at such a low sensitivity its barely picking up my voice.

Arctis pro wireless not outputting surround sound

I've gone into sonar and enabled spatial audio, and i've gone on my gamedac and enabled surround sound. I've also turned 7.1 on in the engine, but whenever I test the surround sound in games or on youtube it doesn't outpud any 8d audio, it just plays the audio normally without directional hints.

Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with the screen recording feature in the SteelSeries GG Moments. While the audio is recorded and plays back correctly, the video does not play smoothly—it appears extremely choppy and plays frame by frame, literally like a slideshow.

This makes the recordings unusable for reviewing or sharing gameplay. I've tried restarting the app and my system, but the problem persists. Do you have any idea how to restore clips?

Idk if this is casual support or community. But I just bought a Arctis NOVA Pro Wireless and I can't seem to get the mic to work while wired to the DAC. Unwired it works but not wired, does anyone know a fix for this?

when wired to the base station? the line in / line out ports on the base station are stereo only and don't support mic input. you'd need to wire it directly to your PC's audio jacks to get mic audio.

Also there is no option for surround sound and the bluetooth button does not work to pause/resume audio

I have the Arctis 7 white. as well as a AverMedia LiveStreamer Nexus (mixer/stream deck combo) whenever I turn the headset on ALL audio goes through it, even if i set it to go through System on the Nexus. I have GG installed but same thing there.

what I would like to do is have my Browser audio stay going through the pc speakers, while my game and discord audio go throught the headset. I have everything working right except the system audio keeps going to the headset no matter how I set it.

Im thinking either I have to remove my pc audio out from the dongle, it goes audio out to dongle through to the Nexus. or possibly drop the nexus completely (which I would rather not do as I prefer the dials for audio control over digital sliders)

I recently got a new set of speakers, non-usb sound jack. Previously I was only using my Arctis 7P+ Wireless headset.

Initially trying to make the backup device thing work, but realize my 7P+ may not recognize being turned off in the GG software, thats a Nova thing only?

So I resorted to manual switching, which in the software seems to work (the selected device changes in sonar), but it refuses to my sound to the new device until I switch between channel through the windows sound device selector via clicking on the speaker icon.

So currently switch device is 2 steps: switch sonar (shortcut) and then switch windows to a different channel (ie gaming to media) and then back again to the one I was using.

Any idea how I can get the last step to not have to happen?

If you are on windows close it through the task manager (it’s open you just can’t pull it up) then open it again and it should work.

It won't detect the headset via engine. I have connected it and resetted it according to the guide and other people who have faced this problem but it still won't be detected. The headset is fine as I can hear it turn on and I'm using it with wire but I cannot use it wirelessly. I tried everything even so far as factory resetting my laptop in case that was the problem but it is still not getting detected. Can someone help?

Another thing to note is that I can hear the noise when Its connected wirelessly when I put the dongle in my laptop but It still doesnt show me the Arctis 7+ option in sonar and its not getting detected in engine

Hi, my Steelseries GG client is stuck on version 51.0.0 Every time I try to update, it says 'installing' and then nothing happens even when I leave it alone for an extended period of time. Can anyone explain how to join the anniversary campaign? I'm already signed in on GG, I click the link that says "Join Now" and it brings me to the website. The FAQ says "Opt into the campaign from this page by entering your email address" but I don't see a place to enter an email address anywhere.

The only place I saw to enter an email address was for signing up for the newsletter way at the bottom. I did that just to be safe, and it said to check my email for verification, but I haven't got an email from them either...

I’ve been using the Rival 3 for about 2.5 years. Recently, the B6 button (the middle button between left and right clicks) has sunk in and doesn’t click properly anymore. I use it frequently.

I am new to Sonar and I recently downloaded version 88 and then it told me to update to the newest version which is version 89 but since then when i change my personal mix for my headset to my oculus no sound comes out anymore but continues to come out of my regular PC headset, before this update everything worked perfect any insight would be helpful.

Everything I’ve found for the headsets is the drivers are in their app. Without the app windows will run a generic headphone driver. That’s all I really know

While using Arctis Pro wireless Mic is incredibly quiet. Volume is set to max everywhere but there is no change in the actual volume. There is no automatic gain control on through any service that I use even while listening to device through windows settings Mic is still very quiet. On discord people have me set to max and others set to something like 15% and I'm still the most quiet person on the server. Any Ideas out there?

good afternoon everyone my apologies for barging into this dc; but I'm afraid my Arctis 1 wireless headphones have not survived the trip to and from Paris intact. Ive had them for about 5 years or so thanks to having been able to replace the wire, wireless dongle, and mic serveral times when previously damaged: however this is a first for the ear cushions . The "Arctis Airweave Ear Cushions" advertised on the website don't state if they're compatible with the Arctis 1 Wireless headset or not or if they're only for newer models. Anyone know if they're compatible or not? I adore these headphones, there super comfortable and at the perfect level of blocking out excess noise and letting me still hear people around me (the woes of the autism spectrum means over stim can happen easily enough for myself, but noise cancelling headphones work too well), and I would hate to have to part with them after so many years.

Also slight pet peeve, the cushioning on the band itself has been slowly falling apart for the last year or so, Is that replacable? And if so what steel series headset band would work with this headset hats still for sale on the steel series website?

Couple things I would try:

The 3.5mm cable has two ends, a 5-pole 3.5mm connector and a 4-pole 3.5mm connector. Make sure that the 4-pole end is connected to your headset and the other end, to your device / DAC and not the other way around.

When I leave my computer for a while and turn off my headset and charge it with the cord plugged into the PC for some reason randomly my microphone will not work in discord or any other app. I check the "Steel Series GG" app and no devices are swapped and no settings are changed. The only way for it to come back is if I fully restart my system. I am very confused on why this happens in spurts at a time. I do not have any other audio devices plugged into my computer, and I have it set so it is my default microphone, and not to swap it in the "Steel Series GG" app when its not detected. I got it working and have now tried restarting PC and it still works, although I had to remove Steelseries engine completly which remove my preset

Go in here and use the unist program. Then go to device manager and find arctis headset and click, uninstall device. Then unplug the wireless dongle from pc and restart pc. Then plug the dongle back in and turn on headset and it worked

keep in mind that the base station uses a separate EQ type from sonar, so you can't import an EQ from Sonar, you'll need to remake it in Engine.

the nova 7 would be the next step up from the nova 5, but the nova 7 came out in 2022, so it doesn't have some features from the nova 3/nova 5 like mobile app support and the better microphone. the only thing that the nova 7 has that the nova 3/5 doesn't is the fact that bluetooth can be played simultaneously with the dongle audio, instead of having to pick one on the nova 3/nova 5

the nova 7 does have onboard EQ but it does not have mobile app support, so you'd be very limited to the EQs you can apply. also sonar would not carry over.

after installing the older GG version, you have to plug in the transmitter, there is a little button on the side, hold that button, then the software asks you to update the firmware, which brings it back to 0.1.8.0

with latest update from a few days ago, it got even weirder, i go trough those extra steps, for it then to switch to 2,4 mode, and connect to pc for it to not broadcast any sound triough the headset, i have to replug the dongle and reboot the headset in order for it to work and play sound again)

after 2 days getting this headset, i could easily switch from bluetooth to 2.4 and everything worked great 😛

Guys i bought the steel series nova 5 and scince than my audio has been terrible it sounds like the bass has been boosted and the quality is like temu earphones. Btw to those who are experiencing somewhat the same thing, I recommend putting the dongle into another port, just don't keep it in the usb hub. I suppose this is gonna work until I turn my pc off, but still better than nothing.

I wanted to let you know about a strange issue I’ve been having with my SteelSeries keyboard. About 3–4 days ago it started randomly registering key presses on the S, W, 2, and A keys, even though I wasn’t touching them. I tried resetting it, but the problem continued. Today I tested it again and it’s working normally, but I thought you’d like to know about this intermittent glitch.

try taking the right ear cushion off (very easy to put it back on) and on the bottom, there is a tiny hole, put a needle/paperclip in there, when you feel the click let it be there for a second. the headset then hard resets, If that doesn't work, unplug the dongle and start holding the button, when you're holding the button, proceed to put it back in (still while pressing down on the dongle button) after a while stop holding the button and check GG software, a firmware update should be there, if that doesn't help you still, just find a late 2024 GG version, and just download that (replace the old one). That's all my tips, even though none worked for me.

ok, but you didn't answer my previous question. are you SURE you bought a nova pro? the wired nova pro looks like the one in my previous photo, and the nova pro wireless comes with a base station that looks like this:

if you don't have a base station or DAC, and you just have a little USB-C transmitter, then you don't have a nova pro

and if you thought you bought a nova pro, and you got that headset instead, you got scammed and need to talk to the retailer

Yeah the message appears after you let go of the button after roughly 10 seconds. I struggled at first too because I held it for too long or something?

Interesting, well I have The arctis nova 5, and It's my 4th time reinstalling the app and possibly like the 10th time unplugging the dongle today

The only time the headset worked, was when I plugged it into another usb slot, if the dongle was there before, too bad, the audio won't work. It's like the USB wants to get used only once. I pretty much noticed because of the sound panel on the task bar, the ''Headphones (2 - Arctis nova 5) the 2 kept going higher, the 2 wasn't actually there but it's now a 3. yapping but whatever ig

Yeah I don't know about that. I just hope that they will fix it soon. The app was genuinely acting weird today for me. I had like a bunch of visual glitches when hovering over some parts of the app and the engine tab wouldn't sometimes even load at all.

yeah the APW had a white noise problem. some units were better than others but the white noise is always there. usually turning on the volume limiter and making sure the volume on your PC was at max would help minimize it.

they fixed it for the nova pro wireless though

Thanks, was going insane. In case anyone is curious, the quick fix i found was to unplug and plug the transmitter in 2 times, just unplug, let it connect, unplug again and it worked on the second connect everytime. Dunno what they've done with the update lol

Anybody ever had any problem w/ arctis nova 5 wireless? Whenever I'm playing some games, every now and then there is a quick buzz/static sound and it's just in/out really fast. It's kinda like the sound you hear as you're plugging in a speaker or headset and it's not plugged in all the way (already checked that).

Hello, I recently bought an Arctic Nova 7 because my old Arctic 7 just died of age. I have a problem with the Nova 7; when the volume is all the way up on the headphones, I hear a constant buzzing. I've already tried changing something in the GG options and the system, but I have no idea what it could be. Even ChatGPT has failed to help me with this.
