Sonar GG worked fine about 2 weeks ago. No changes made, it stopped working for some reason. Ive tried to fix it so that it will pick up my audio for my Steel Series Alias.

Audio only picks up and im able to speak when i have either the sound properties open, or the windows sound settings open. Ive tried changing my defaults im windows to my Alias, reinstalling Sonar GG, and testing the mic without Sonar GG to validate that the standalone works on its own

Anyone able to help me out? Im trying to use it for Discord and in game like i had before. Not sure why it stopped working randomly. Nothing is muted in Sonar GG either

i might sound stupid for asking this but its about the steelseries audio software. im trying to merge steelseries with voicemod where i use the steelseries mic but i can also then use voicemod soundboards but i can only have one mic on at once. Im trying to main the voicemod mic so i can use the soundboards but at the same time with the voicemod mic enabled i put it onto the steelseries software so my voice sounds crisp and less combobulated with noises. idk how it works man i just need help ive been here for an hour trying to figure this stuff out <3

Voicemod... I don't know much about them, but from what I've experienced so far, Steelseries software's a tad finicky. Other sound-related programs messing with it can quickly break things down.

sonar splits your sound to seperate channels while shadowplay can only take 1 which is usually gaming set as windows default for sonar, youd need to select in windows sound mixer for nvidiacontainer to use either your headset not sonar to get all sounds, or turn on streamer mode in sonar, that will create a mix channel where you can select which channel gets sent to it and controll it live, then set that as your audio device for nvidiacontainer in windows sound mixer.

still not fixed, i noticed that if i change a few settings after getting into a call and having no sound, it comes back. not sure if this will do it over time though, because its pretty annoying to do that everytime i get into a call

I think my Apex keyboard is finally showing signs of it's way out. Most of the RGB lighting shows incorrect colours, keys getting stuck or repeating, and certain keys not responding. Hello, I'm having an issue with my rival 5 mouse and its configuration settings in SteelSeries GG.
I set a button on my mouse to switch between the configuration presets I made for my multiple games, and the issue is that its not working at all. I've already reinstalled the software & tried different buttons (Unplugging/Re-Plugging in the mouse did nothing as well). I've also tried looking the issue up and couldn't find anything helpful.

ah well the input that the volume wheel outputs cannot be asigned as a key sadly so you need to change that somehow, not sure if your/any keyboard software can let you change that

i personally found a fix by using a script to change the volume up/down to act as f14/f15 and asigned those keys to the shortcuts

Version 85.0.0 of GG will not run Sonar. At all. I've tried restarting the software several times, several PC reboots, settings tweaks in GG itself...nothing is allowing Sonar to actually run. It just sits in the loading screen forever.

1. you have Prism turned on, so Prism takes lighting priority. click the "edit lighting settings" in the top left to open prism. you can turn the device off in prism if you don't want to use it.
2. that's normal, a recent FW update changed it so that when you hold the function key down, the keys with bindings will light up orange and keys without bindings will just turn off.

i still think that's a hardware issue, since there shouldn't be that much noise on the sensor, but also keep in mind that 0.1 isn't much so it's easy to repeatedly move 0.1 without realizing. that's why the default rapid trigger sensitivity is 0.2.

Some reason my discord notifications for Discord Canary arent making sounds.

If you ever want clipping service use a manual clip instead. tedious but just add a keybind and set your settings for a few minutes and proper folder for the clips to save to.

if you're using streamer mode, double check your personal/stream mix outputs, and make sure you don't have your mic set to playback to your personal device (the headphone icon under "mic" shouldn't have a green circle under it)

Hey all! I just got the arctis nova pro wireless as an upgrade from my previous headset, an arctis 1 wireless, and I'm really missing the media control button that seems to be gone now. I don't want sonar or the game overlay or anything extra like that, so I haven't checked those menus - am I missing something that might make it capable of controlling media from the headset, specifically sending play/pause keys to the connected computer?

The power button toggles ANC, which can be read by the software on the computer. I'm not sure if that protocol is proprietary or not, but I'm sure I can automate it... but it seems cursed to periodically read the ANC status in order to pause music while ANC is on, lol. Similarly, the bluetooth button play/pauses on the bluetooth-connected device, so I guess I could just switch to playing music on my phone rather than my computer, but then the sound quality is worse if I do that. (Also I have custom logic here - on the arctis 1 wireless, I have the skip button bound to toggle discord VAD, and play/pause either pauses music or undeafens discord if music is already paused. That would not be easily possible if the button presses went to my phone rather than my computer - I could, I guess, do some tasker shenanigans, but, again, that'd be so cursed lol)

If there aren't features or submenus I'm unaware of, then... I'm surprised that the headset keys seem to not be rebindable, for a flagship product, and I'm extremely surprised that such a regression exists where the arctis 1 can do something that this headset can't.

I bought an Arctis headset. My headset will turn down the volume gradually until its muted. Whenever something happens in game that is "loud enough" it turns my volume back on. Im assuming this has something to do with this Sonar thingy. Ive disabled it and issue persists. I have reinstalled audio drivers and the drivers for the headset and no fix. Im at a loss and without a headset. Anyone know a fix?

( I submitted a ticket and only got a link to the q&a site. This only happens with this headset as my other headsets dont do this. Normal speakers are fine as well)

discord is echoing when i open screen sharing. i must always do win+r "sndvol" and mute discord from sonar mic, casual headset settings. but everytime i re-start app or pc it resets this mute. isn't there permanent solution for this known issue? isn't steelseries working on this problem?

Yes, that's the exact program that failed to work with Sonar for me.

I technically managed to make my headset work by connecting it to my PC with a wire but then I couldn't really get the benefits of Sonar much, and making it wired made it feel pointless for a wireless headset

1. try to avoid any USB hubs or front ports on desktop PCs, both the keyboard and dongle should be connected directly to the PC/motherboard
2. try flipping steps 2 and 3 and turn the keyboard off, then plug it in, then start the firmware update once engine says it's connected and charging

Hey, folks. Just exchanged an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless that I couldn't get sound on for another and I still can't get the new one to work. Headset is connected fine, default output and all that set correctly, but while the mixer in Windows registers the lil sound bars, they do not show in Sonar. Already tried reinstalling several times.
