I just bought an apex 7, but the lighting on the numpad keeps turning off, anybody know why and how I can fix it?

Actually nevermind just found out it was being controlled by the discord app and that shuts it off for some reason

Also is there any way to rebind the button and dial by the screen on the keyboard? They are the only things I can't rebind in engine and I already have a pause button and my volume is controlled by sonar making the dial not actually change anything

I was told I can disable the rgb functionality for my apex 3 tkl in gg to use signal rgb to light the keyboard up, I can't seem to figure it out

nvm, because apparantly it's made to be impossible to rely on any other rgb usage other than gg for the apex 3 tkl, trying to do anything to get signalrgb to work without conflicting with steelseries gg and prism basically messes up the entire usage of the keyboard

It's only for those apex pro magnet keys

rapid trigger and rapid tap are two different features. rapid trigger does need the magnetic keys to know if you're lifting the key right away, but rapid tap is just preferring one input over another. in fact, on the apex pro KBs, rapid tap works on all the keys, including the non-magnetic ones, so it really isn't a requirement to use the magnetic keys

i have an Artcis Nova 7 P , and Arena 7 too. i using Arena most of the time. Because my GF is here, or just chilling under the music, working with something.. but Artcis, is one is the most powerful headset, i think. i really like when i playing with my friends, or play ranked in some games. They are powerfull accessories. Back to the Arena 7 , i needed some lights, because what my oled monitor give me, it is not enough at night.. so it was easy decision.. somebody say it is quite. I have a big Home cinema, for movies , or playing some playstation stuff, but i say to you.. Arena 7 is more than enough. my balcony door, and toilet door are shaking a bit, while i turn enough the volume. 😄 Not cheapest things, but they are very well in this category.

i am contacting you i recently bought your keyboard the apex pro tkl to find the comfort of the controller in activating the steering control go from moving slowly to walking fast comparable to a car accelerator do not go to 100 percent acceleration but gradually

i went to the steelseries program to set this
the problem i am having is the following it does not work

i watched how you do it in the steelseries video so i activated the fast trigger and the activation points on my zqsd keys but nothing when i press my key the game advances to 100 percent and does not take into account the variation in pressure of the key

i asked and searched around me and on the net to find out how to set the different activation points but i found no info on how to do it maybe you have to set this directly in windows 11 I don't know and I haven't found any settings for my PC to know that it's not dealing with a standard switch keyboard but a hall effect one

So I'm turning to the steelseries discord server for help because I don't know how to apply this by putting pressure on the key or when you press gently you chew for when you press the key fully you run or walk faster like in the video demonstration with the view of the switch and the result obtained in the game

the keyboard doesn't support analog inputs like this. you can use dual actuation for a simple walk/run but not gradual movements like a controller.

Anyone know how to save a Prism config? Ive bee trying for hours but cant get it to show on my keyboard. It only shows up when I set the layer tab to "idle" and the "show after" tab to "5 seconds." it should save immediately when you change anything. keep in mind that there's other lighting settings in engine (like in the device config) that could also be overriding it, like the power saving options

Well I simultaneously am working with official support and we just tried reinstalling everything and I was told by them the latest is 2.1 (it has nothing to do with the version of bluetooth like the version advertised, it is the firmware version)

But that has not worked so curious if there is any other way to force it to detect the update

(all this was spurred by some slight bluetooth issue as well, not just trying to update for the sake of it)

I purchased the new Apex Pro gen 3 wired, Why is the software so bad? Id think being forced to use a software it would at least be a usable and good one...?
The prism does not work, It randomly loses your profile you make. Then it doesn't actually apply to the lights you make or choose.
I feel like this needs to be returned based on the poor software alone. Which is very unfortunate because the keyboard feels amazing, And I cannot recreate the feeling of the keycaps with any other board because the omni 3.0's are steelseries proprietary

the arctis 7 doesn't have active noise cancelling. it's only on the nova pro wireless

sometimes people confuse the mic sidetone for noise cancelling, so maybe messing with the sidetone will help.

each of the 5 onboard presets has a different lighting preset so you'll need to be more specific, but ultimately I'm pretty sure each effect is also available in Prism as a preset. if you can't find a preset that's close enough then you'll need to remake it.

screenshot is my version but from what I hear arctis nova pro wireless bluetooth and receiver version is actually up to 2.X, any ideas why no update will show? tried fully power cycling, restarting the receiver, and even trying using a different pc with fresh install....

there's two versions of the nova pro wireless so it may be that you have an older version that doesn't need the bluetooth updated.

basically: if engine isn't showing it needs a firmware update, and if GG is up to date, you probably don't need a firmware update

I see - I get weird bluetooth behavior where at the start of a song or video, it suddenly stops playing audio (but it does not pause the content) until I pause and then play the content

So I figure my bluetooth needs an update of some kind if you get what I mean, maybe not 2.X but there is an issue.

I bought a Rival 5 mouse and are having some problems in game. When i go into the inventory and left click on an item to drag across into my stash it doesn't do it. It will instead auto double click all items i hover over . I have tried changing the Rolling Rate / Acceleration / Deceleration... adjusting the mouse behaviour in game settings but nothing works. I have to alt tab out and select the default mouse setting then re select the game setting to get it to work..... I have gone back to Logitech as this has never failed me.... any ideas how to correct this.

Anyone have a good eq for the nova 7p? Primarily play R6 on Playstation, so I don't think I can use the sonar feature but I can use the engine mixer. Usually if usb-c charging won’t work anymore the low hanging fruits to get are, the cable, the charge or cleaning the female usb c socket

Good morning. Since I started playing first person shooters (FPS), I have become obsessed - well, interested for certain - about keyboards, mice, and their relationship to the game. I have tried a few brands (Corsair, HyperX, Razer) and they just didn't fit for me. Now Steel Series Apex 3 and Rival 5 are working out fantastic. The Riva 5 has a nice hand layout with a trigger button that is reachable without over extending my thumb. Also I love the up/down thumb button just over M4 and M5. Helps with communication in Hell Let Loose. I do have questions about Acceleration / Deceleration, Angle Snapping, and DPI...

It's known that 1600 dpi doesn't induce input lag. So I have it set to 1600 with 10% sensitivity and 8% ADS - that works well, and I've had success with engagements during gun fight. Engine, however, has this Acceleration / Deceleration which I've enabled full Deceleration, but in game I can't tell if its doing what I think it supposed to be doing. If there is documentation on this feature - probably at Steel Series website for certain - it would be best to read it. However, I want to know from players who use it in FPS specifically if it helps with aiming. Also, does the game need to have code to take advantage of this feature?

I've also tried Angle Snapping and that is a learning curve I'm not ready to attempt. I'm curious about this feature in an FPS scenario

Engine does not recognize it, Windows 11 does but Engine does not. I go crazy when I use sonar to configure the software. AIMP & Brave in Game, Hell let loose & other games in chat or media. You change the options. "all is well". And the volume control between the different applications... The software is updated. "Same problems again". At first you think it's your computer. all steelseries headsets should work out of the box without sonar/engine/GG. some more advanved features may require sonar like chatmix but otherwise they should work without it. otherwise if the software was required these headsets wouldn't work on consoles/phones/etc.

if you're running into issues all the time where it feels like you need the app running for things to work, i'd strongly suggest checking with #official-support since there may be a hardware issue that's causing things to not work standalone

keep in mind that sonar is effectively layered on top of your PC's audio (particularly so if you're using an analog/non-USB connection) so if your foundational audio is messed up then it'll manifest in sonar too

Analog audio devices are headsets/speakers that use the 3.5mm headphone jack as the primary way to connect to the PC or console.

Please note that analog headsets use your on-board audio drivers to run the headset. Due to this, analog headsets are not compatible with SteelSeries Engine and will not show up on the device list in Engine.

If you are having audio issues, here's a few steps to try:

• Reseat all cable connections to verify they are fully plugged in. The 3.5mm connection will require that the cable be plugged in fully for correct audio. Make sure all connections are clean and free of dirt. Additionally, please check that you have the correct end of the cable plugged into your PC, as some SteelSeries Nova headsets have unique cables that must have the correct end plugged into the headset.

• Verify that you are plugging the headset into the correct port. Some PCs may have split headphone and microphone audio jacks, so using a splitter for these devices is required to make the mic work. Check your PC's manual or specs to see which type of headphone port you have. Additionally, if you are on a desktop PC, it's recommended to use the rear audio ports on your motherboard for audio, rather than the ports on your PC case.

• Check for audio driver updates from your PC manufacturer. As analog headsets use your on-board audio drivers to run the headset, it's recommended to check for any driver updates or additional audio software that's provided by your manufacturer. These drivers or management programs may be required for your device to be detected by Windows.

Sonar can also be used with analog headsets. Please make sure your Sonar outputs are set to the on-board audio device that is driving the headset. These are usually named "Realtek" or "Intel" depending on your PC.

hi people I need some help, so i have a new mobo and cpu, 7950x and x870a strix and if i connect my dongle to the type c port or the very top 10gb usb port via the cable everything works but if i use the other usb ports including the 3.0 5gb blue ports and the other exact same 10gb ports below the very top one one that works the caps lock button behave very strangely as in when i press the button it behaves like its not been registered as the arrow on the screen sometimes does not show and the colour does not change on the caps lock and its acts like its not been registered but the key works when pressed. Also when i remove the software it works fine no matter what usb port, I tried older gg version same issue

i don't think there's any way to tell from the software, i think you'd need to check the label on the bottom of the keyboard and it should say gen 3 or 2024 on it somewhere
