I bought a SteelSeries headset for Christmas, and when I tried it out I realised that there was audio feedback. So I looked for a way to disable it and saw that I had to use the app. So I installed the SteelSeries app, only to find that my device wasn't found, whether I plugged it in via USB or the dongle. I'd like to know if you have any solutions. (I've tried following the tutorials but it's no use).

So I bought the steelseries arctis7+ headset thinking it's really good. Then I use it and somehow surround sound is enabled by default? Like what? There isn't even a clear way to turn it off and on like with most modern headsets.

I want to turn off surround sound on my headset because it's really annoying hearing outside things when I'm trying to be immersed in my game.

in engine, you can click on your product on the list to open the config window. from there it varies mouse to mouse but there should be some options for illumination

Not sure if this is an Engine/driver issue or a Win11 issue, but for months my GameDAC for my Arctis Pro + GameDAC (wired version) randomly has the "GameDAC (Game)" device disappear from the Windows audio devices. The "GameDAC (Chat)" device and mic are still there. Only fix is reboot or unplug/reconnect it. If I reconnect though then I have two devices showing for it.

prism is software only lighting, it doesn't save to the device. if you had on-board configs before then you need to disable the device in prism and then edit the lighting in the config window in engine

The app broke 2 days ago, so I simply uninstalled it and downloaded the latest version

Now when I launch it, it only opens the background processes and does not open at all

I looked through multiple tutorials and help sites on how to fix that, but they all said uninstall all VPNs..

If I uninstall the VPNS, I do not have international internet

Update: Audio Visualiser works fine on this device in Apex 7, but I'm not sure if it works like this on the Rival 650; The left and right lanes decrease and increase according to the sound, but the logo and wheel light are constant.

hello everyone is anyone having issue where GG is not recognizing the headset being connected. I'm using the second USB-C cord provided with my headset. It's my first time updating the firmware of the headset since i purchased last year. I've been having distortion and crashing from time to time where the headset would restart it's self. I currently have the headset plugged in and on sourced to the IO of my motherboard to be sure its connected directly my motherboard and not by my Cases USBs. Any work around to getting this fixed? Bluetooth is awful for that. You need the Xbox wireless adapter since the headset uses the Xbox wireless tech

Hi there, I started to use the Rival 650 wireless today and messing around with the profiles. I fixed it allready and it's switching automatically and nicely between profiles where I added applications/games. But the strange thing is. After a while when I move the cursor or click a button it looks like the active profiles starts over again. When you move the mice the RGB turns off and when you let it rest the active profile starts again.

Anybody else who has the issue as well? Can't seem to find the issue at the moment 😛 (Prism it not activated)

it really depends on the exact wording of the developer on their anti-cheat / macro policy. I tried searching up the policy from Epic but I couldn't find it online.

Generally, most developers are OK with using macros if it's doing something simple, and if it's a one-time event. For example, if you wanted to make a macro for binding shift+F to a numpad key, that's usually fine, since it's just pressing it once.

But developers are usually not OK for fully automating parts of the game, or having macros continually input presses. As an example, you shouldn't make macros that presses your LMB a bunch, or spams crouch as fast as possible for as long as you hold the key.

you might want to make another profile for this game, that way you can have them without having to hold down 'meta layer' key.
click on a key you want, then at the top of the pop up make sure 'Keyboard Buttons' is showing. In there should be an option called 'NUMPAD' click that and pick which one you want.

a lot of the new steelseries keyboards use the software to drive the lighting instead of having a small CPU on-board the keyboard to drive the lighting. so if you're playing a game that's maxing out your CPU and you're lagging, it's going to make other programs on your pc lag, including GG.

Heya so I need some help with my rgb. I have a wired Arctis Pro and my mic rgb doesn't seem to respond when i try to change the settings in the GG app. I thought I could just update windows and see if there was any change but after updating there was no improvement. The rgb still wasn't changing. The light itself works and turns red when I mute it but unmuted, the light turns off.

If you permanantly want to stop Prism, the only was I was able to do it was to delete the .exe file while GG was closed. If you end the process, it just restarts and I couldn't find a way to disable it in GG. I only have a headset without RGB so I don't have any reason for it to run. The exe is in Program Files\Steelseries\GG\Apps\Engine, it is either in a folder called Prism there or in the engineapps folder, it is somewhere in that Engine folder.

Hi guys, I have these two keyboards, the MSI is inbuilt with my laptop, I customize them the way I want because when I use some effects for one, it automatically rteflects on the other keyboard.

I love to use audio visualizer on one, and leave the other as plain, but whenever I turn on audio visualiser, or some other apps, it affects both.

if you're just trying to turn off the reactive lighting, there should be a "reactive" tab in prismsync you can edit

keep in mind that the apex 3 doesn't have per-key lighting, so a lot of the lighting effects won't look as good as they do on a per-key lighting kb like your built in one on your laptop

that dropdown you're showing in your screenshot refers to how the keybinding/macro would play when the key is pressed. If you want to edit the actual macro and define what keys are pressed and for how long, you'd want to do that in the macro editor.

Just built a new PC and during my initial setup turns out that SteelSeries GG conflicts with my AIO Cooler. As soon as I launch GG my AIO LCD Screen begins to restart constantly. I use Windows LTSC, still not nearly as safe as Linux

Compatibility isn't rly an issue with 'wine' and 'proton'

Linux is better than Windows in erry possible way. The only thing that makes Windows the better option is purely compatibility. It's more of a mainstream platform. But thanks to Valve, Linux has a chance

I'm all for Windows getting competition but Linux is not there yet for the average user and it's not even close

But since Proton, the lack of Linux conpatibility dwindles

It'll take a while, but when Linux catches up, Windows would become completely irrelevant. At least with popularity. It's alrdy inferior to Linux by default

I ended up reinstalling it and errything worked again
