Hello @here could it be possible to mark the Arctis 9 Game and Arctis 9 Chat as disconnected as the headphones are disconnected.

They are ready but for what...the headphones are switched off. This is very annoying as I want to default to my speakers or other device once I turn off the headphones.

I know unplugging the Wireless Transmitter’s USB Plug would do the trick but that's crazy.

Anyone else having Windows 11 start up sound screech like high pitched static when the PC starts for the very first time? Only happened after I got the Nova 3. Not sure if this due to drivers, Windows itself or maybe Sonar? Everything else seems to be fine so far. The only remedy at the moment is to turn off the startup sound. changing via the on-board hotkeys will change the entire keyboard's actuation. changing it in engine is the only way to set per-key actuation

So when you turn on high efficiency mode, it changes the following:

-turns off acceleration/decelleration/angle snapping
-sets the polling rate to it's lowest (250)
-Turns off all lighting

so the big thing that may affect performance is the polling rate, where it'll go from 1000hz to 250hz, so the mouse will send information to your PC less... however it's only a difference of 1ms > 4ms, which is hard to notice the delay, but you get a HUGE boost to battery life.

best advice i can give is to turn it on and try it out and see if you notice anything weird. I've had my mice on this mode for a while and i never noticed any issues

for the EQ problem: the EQ can only be changed with the headset wired into a PC. once changed in Engine it'll stay saved on the headset

IIRC, mice macros are run by the software, and keyboard macros are actually run on-board the keyboards (this is why the keyboard has on-board profiles when the mice don't). So the mice are limited by the software on how fast it can hit a key.

I updated the version of windows, see if you have new updates, then I checked for problems settings->system->sound->checked both the speakers for problems and the microphone. I also enabled and disabled access to the microphone through-> settings-> privacy-> microphone-> access to the microphone for this device-> change-> disable and then re-enable. Reboot your device and check!

Saving settings from Engine section is possible but it is limited, I had a better experience in that section than the default settings but it’s still far away from Sonar experience, I think the developers should put Sonar settings in the Engine section and make possible to be saved in the headset hardware because we want to have the same experience in Console

Guys is there a way to save Engine & Prism config into the keyboard so the GG software would not longer be needed?

The profiles only work when Software is open but when it get closed the profiles get reset and it should always be opened so I can use those profiles

I found a solution for Engine (keys settings) by not using custom config but only editing the 5 default configs and saving them

but the Prism config won't save and the RGB always get reset after closing the GG software. there is no "save" button in Prism either!

I got this notification to update my SteelSeries Engine to the latest version 43.0.0. I clicked on "About," then "Check for Updates," and finally hit "Install Update." The update came with a warning that it would restart SteelSeries Engine during the process.

Here's the issue: It's been more than 30 minutes now, and the update is still stuck on "Installing." I've tried a bunch of things already. I restarted my computer, closed SteelSeries Engine using the task manager, and even gave the update another shot, but it's just not cooperating.

They said soon 4 months ago when they announced they were working on it. Personally I'd prefer an update to backlighting and binding "Prism" settings to keyboard profiles so that lighting isn't "default" every time we plug the keyboard into a new computer. If that doesn't get fixed I'm ditching my Pro TKL.

the problem is that they tore out on-board lighting on the keyboards... so if they tore it out then they probably tore out the on-board memory to save it... so it may not even be physically capable of saving lighting on board anymore

or they had a chip in it for processing lighting that they took out... i don't think there's any teardowns online sadly so we can only presume

kinda the same with the new nova headsets and not having on-board chatmix anymore... i would assume chip shortages made them switch to software only, and even with things back to "normal" it's just cheaper to take out on-board chips and make it software reliant

i guess if enough people make a fuss maybe the 2025 keyboards would have it back 😂

Unlikely, the built in Configs all still have lighting profiles separate from any other controls, you just can't save lighting anymore becasue Prism isn't integrated into everything. I'm sure it will be eventually, just not yet, and because I'm using it at work I'll probably just buy a different baord is all.

Tech team updates GG 2 times per month, so if it won’t be out on this last August update between 20-25th, it could be easily released on next year, so you can switch to Wooting. Steelseries is a business first, so they need to make max cash from this hyper trigger technology. The best way for Steelseries is to announce a new keyboard with new switches that supports Hyper Trigger and do not allow that technology to Apex Pro omnipoint keyboards, or just if you wanna get a Hyper Trigger option go buy Premium subscription on their app, max profit tho 🙂
