Are they bound stands or stands like Emperor that resemble objects but can only be seen by stand users?

Beach boy dosent have TRUE confirmation, but its heavily implied because he has to summon it

Its probably not BOUND, but its more than likely materialized, as it has a visual effect when it fazes through walls and Mista was able to shoot it with his bullets

beach boy is definitely a normal stand as he summons it and desummons it

in the anime it shows the rod fading away after his neck is wrung by bucciarati

bound stands are attached to physical objects so you can't make it disappear, its always there

"bound" and "materialized" are the same names tbh

bound is the name given by the western fandom, while the official japanese name for stands attached to real objects is "materialized"

stands are able to be interacted with by regular objects to a certain extent, beach boy's wire was able to be hit by bullets the same way sale summons kraftwerk to deflect mista's bullets

beach boy was in a compact state where it could interact with mista's body and hook onto his heart, so by entering a state where it can interact with physical objects, physical objects can also interact with it

which is how stands are able to hit bullets instead of the bullets just phasing through their ghostly bodies and hitting the user, they can enter a state where they can interact with stuff

Okay, so then what is Chariot Requiem and Wonder of U bound to then?

We know for a fact these two are materialized, and Chariot is referred to as such

chariot requiem specifically would prob be bound to the shadows that create it, as its form is manifested by the shadow from a soul
it can be seen and touched by people because its created from something that actually exists
but for wonder of u, yea some stands are weird and can be seen and touched while still not technically being bound to an object. whitesnake as well is like this

but no bystander acknowledges the fishing rod in pesci's hands so there's nothing suggesting that his is the same

there's no criteria for a stand being wonky like this other than araki wanting them to be seen, so unless a stand is specifically seen by a non-stand user, its prob just a normal stand that follows the rules of being unable to be seen

I always pictured bound stands as stands that HAVE to be with an object that everyone could pick up and use. Like Anubis, Cream Starter, Super Fly, and Atom Heart Father
