?
Thus spoke kishibe rohan is canon
I could say that "the Book" and maybe Purple Haze Feedback
CDDH, PHF, GHGR, Jorge Joestar, and a buncha others aren’t canon.
Yeah.
Jorge goes against canon a lot of the time
Genesis of the future?
you know
Doubt it
The part 3 one
If it’s not written by Araki, it’s not canon.
Most likely at least.
I mean, there’s exceptions like Rohan Au Louvre.
I think that may not be a real statement to deny something
I mean Purple Haze Feedback could completely be canonic
That’s how canon works
If it’s not author written or author confirmed, it’s not canon
Not neccesarily
It conflicts with backstories iirc.
Yes it is
Or time dates.
well that's true
but part 4 novel
?
And it’s not written by Araki either.
No
and well, I dont really know about this novel
Not canon either.
@silk sand, your Stand Rank is now 3!
but I have heard about this
How do you think canon works?
Wouldn’t be canon either
Unless it was made by araki
There is one but it’s not canon either.
Like for example DBS is written and drawed by Toyotaro, not by Toriyama and is completely canonic
Did toriyama confirm it as canon?
If so, then that doesn’t go against what I said earlier
yes
Author approved or author written
For JoJo’s, if it’s not written by Araki or isn’t a collab written by him, then it’s not canon.
the jojo novels some of those dont make sense, I know, but Araki has not said "it isnt canonic" to most of them
Genesis of the future was somehow drawed by Araki and we still dont know about its canonity
Yeah but did he say it was canon?
Basically any novel not written by Araki also conflicts with things.
It has to be stated canon
I think you just need to accept that it’s not canon until confirmed otherwise.
he has not aproved or denied
So it’s not canon
Agree
It’s not canon and that’s all there is to it.
If he says nothing about it then it’s just not canon
So, asides Crazy Diamond Demonic Heartbreak, is there another jojo spin off
Thus spoke is the only canon spinoff as far as I know
and does Demonic Heartbreak is canon, because some details in it makes no sense with some stuff in part 4
When I was reading it, it say that it was the first Jojo canon spin-off
Where?
In mangadex
Ignoring tskr is crazy
what do you mean by that?
No
because i doubt it
Pretty sure the only canon jojo spinoff is Thus Spoke
Yes.
most probable option
all spin-off works that aren't directly written by araki himself are generally considered "non-canon", araki doesn't need to deconfirm every official side work one by one because there's a shit load and it would be a needless hassle
araki doesn't need to go out of his way and confirm that eyes of heaven's story mode isn't canon
a spin-off story not conflicting with the plot of the original part doesn't make it automatically canon, it just means it doesn't have any issues slotting into that other story in people's heads
you can consider it "canon" in your mind, but as long as araki hasn't directly accepted it into the lore of jojos, it will remain as just a separate story written by another author that you can consider canon if you want to
even then, some works that araki himself made like "rohan au louvre" and "jolyne, fly high with gucci" blatantly conflict with the plot of the original parts, like rohan saying that he had heaven's door from birth during rohan au louvre eventhough it was stated in diamond is unbreakable that he got his stand from keicho's arrow, and the setting of fly high with gucci not fitting with stone ocean's plot at all and all the characters like bucciarati and polpo having wildly different personalities from the original parts (also bucciarati and polpo are both alive lmao)
