As we know. Bites the dust protects hayato from all harm and manifests as a mini killer queen wherever hayato is attacked. We see this when kira was unable to punch hayato, as well as hayato being unable to kill himself with the box cutter that he (conveniently owned like every normal 11 year old boy would) had. We also see that the duwang gang got decimated by BTD as a result of looking at kq.

So why the fuck would kira not try to punch hayato to activate BTD and save himself from josuke??? Is he that fucking stupid? He himself knows that hayato will be protected by it. So just punch hayato and activate the “BTD is already in your eye” bullshit and kill em
