2016 doesn’t adapt the golden age arc iirc, it adapts the arcs that follow it

1997 adapts the golden age arc, aka the first and most famous berserk arc - also the three movies on netflix adapt the same arc in CGI format. the movies are actually really excellent, but aren’t as comprehensive as 97. still worth your time though

I do agree that the art is detailed to the point of messiness sometimes, but it is ESPECIALLY so for the prequel chapters, they're old as shit and the scans arent high quality so it tends to not be that readable until the actual beggining of berserk with golden age
