It's Kamen Rider, and like sort of in that Power Rangers is a weird americanized version of its sister show Super Sentai
And yes but it also has a lot of themes and cool designs and cute girls and boys to appeal to parents and nerds
These shows are ostensibly children's toy commercials but Japanese kids are given greater freedom to explore art (hence stuff like Shonen Jump being able to have wildly different themes present in each magazine issue) and as such they're a lot better than like
