It's kinda nothing. Expected to be treated to a whole new epic fantasy take that's outside of Studio Chizu's comfort zone but got treated to some wack failed revenge hopecore. The coolest parts about it are the setting and the giant fucking dragon. I know I watched the dub but knowing that Mamoru Miyano was advertised to be voicing a character in this movie and that character turning out to only have a minute(genuinely like just a minute and like 3 lines) of screentime really soured me as a whole.

Halfway through the movie there was a cut in for a certain sequence that, pretty much just has no bearing with the rest of the film at all. Like if you took out that specific part of it, nothing would change, in fact, it may even make the film a bit better cuz now I wouldn't be stuck with "what was that all about then."

It really cements that Hosoda's own direction is still pretty good like the skeleton of the film is there, but his writing just goes nowhere for no good reason.

Daredevil: Born Again Season Two, Episode Four, “Gloves Off” Spoiler Thoughts and Analysis:

The gloves were indeed off, because wow. Apart from a weird little minor subplot, I genuinely cannot fathom myself subjectively or objectively hating this episode. Wilson Bethel took the stars he earned and ran with it because this was a generational Bullseye/Benjamin Poindexter focused episode. I would summarize more of my thoughts and analysis but you truly have to see it beforehand for yourself.
