One Piece Season 1 beat. Nice ending to the 1155 episodes season, can’t wait for Elbaf

Sentenced to be a hero ep 1 had REALLY nice animation haha, definitely my favorite of the season so far. Which, considering I haven’t watched anything else, is an easy choice.

The Bad Guys 2: @lethal needle

Actually a decent sequel, a complete formula change while still keeping the familiar bits. Instead of a simple character arc for The Bad Guys, it’s ||them now exposing the good in Doom and Pigtail and trying to expose the good in Kitty|| by teaching respect of which they are now trying to earn. The not so subtle dig at Elon Musk was not expected but welcome. What was also welcome was the scaling of the absurdity in both plot and stakes with a much more subtle Chekov’s gun and, depending on the person, more fun and insane levels of twists. The Bad Girls being effectively The Bad Guys’s inner demons was obvious but still executed decently. I definitely felt more emotion out of this one, with the relatability of the inciting incident, and the two pairs of complicated metamorphosing romances. The baddest thing a sequel can do is be bad, but The Bad Guys 2 does put in an earnest attempt to be as good as the original and to earn its respect rather than be feared as a downright downgrade.
