This installment continues the man vs nature vs technology motif as well as the infusion of anti-toxic masculinity elements present since day one wonderfully while flipping certain aspects on its head due to a two non-human main characters in Dek of the Yautja and Thia (thank you Njhorr!). Despite seeing some Disneyified elements, especially because of Bud, Trachtenberg, holistically, slays this Yautja hunt and no thanks to previous Trachtenberg Predator composers in Prey’s Sarah Schachner and P: KOK’s Benjamin Wallfisch. I say, let Trachtenberg start up another hunt after Badlands, maybe this time a hunt with a Xenomorph involved…
