The entire movie has a sub-theme of shootings, || The children all dissappearing suddenly is an allegory for a school shooting, josh brolins character struggles with thoughts of his own child being a potential school-shooter, the cop practically shoots an innocent person himself (and thats after the film uses alot of time setting him up as a normal person!). The stories are definetely loosely connected to the main narrative, but they all interweave into the point of the movie. Tragedy is quick, sudden, and generally without good reason||

It adds another layer ot the idea that things are not always what they seem like on first glance, and how our ignorance can lead to further tragedy, and also its just really well acted and shot||

Caught up with Dandadan Season 2, just in time as they finish up the Evil Eye Arc. God that music room training ep was a thing of beauty lol. Can’t wait for the next arc, it introduces two of my favorite characters. Happy to say that season 2 so far continues to deliver quality heh.

As far as new openings and endings go, I was iffy on the opening at first but now I’m ok with it. Animation I feel wasn’t quite as striking as the first one. Ending though, it was so much better than the first season’s haha. Love the animation style and the song.
