Season 1 of 2017 Ducktales beat. Fantastic tv series! I love how they adapted several of the fan favorite materials, from the comics mainly of Carl Barks and Don Rosa’s famous duck comics as well as the Italian ones, and not forgetting their TV roots by pulling from the old ‘90s Disney afternoon lineup. But the best adaptations stand out with their own merit, and I’m happy to say this series does an amazing job at putting their own spins on the characters and story. Making sure each triplet was their own character was an obvious but great move, and I love the overarching mystery of their absent mother, Della. But of course the individual adventures are fun and hilarious as par the course for a Duck comics adventure.

If I had to pick my favorite episodes of the season… the House of the Lucky Gander (perfect Carl Barks ending with great showing from Donald), the Missing Links of Moorshirr (LMAO evil technicolor Kelpie ponies), The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains (At first I wasn’t sure about this reimagining of Goldie as the Catwoman to Scrooge’s Batman, but by the end I loved it), the Secret(s) of Castle McDuck (fantastic adaptation of the Carl Barks and Don Rosa stories set in said castle), and the Last Crash for the Sunchaser (crazy emotional bottle episode. ||Everyone blaming Scrooge and then having their words replay as we see exactly how much money he spent to find Della and ending with his bitter old man pose hurts||.). Finale was a ton of fun too, ||Magica|| was a great enemy, and Donald stole the show lol. HE EVEN BEAT ||A SHADOW WEARING THE GIZMODUCK SUIT! WITH OTHER SHADOWS SURROUNDING HIM!||

I wish there was more Donald, but too much and he would have stole the show lol
