Re-listening to chunks of the Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning soundtrack and I have to say I am warming up to it. For the Bi-Plane Fight Suite, one of its leitmotifs is a more aggressive version of one of the Dead Reckoning leitmotifs. I also noticed Max and Alfie did the same leitmotif for the “Ascending” and “Descending” tracks which is apropos. Finally, The Entity’s theme in TFR is a much more ominous version of the DR version and I never noticed it.

||I actually wrote a ton more than this but deleted the whole thing, i already talked about the detective side plot, and No-Eul was the aftereffect of 456's sacrifice, she gained hope in humanity and thus was rewarded with the possibility of her daughter, we never do get to see if she actually found her but it's not about her, it's about never giving up, even for how cliche it is ||

||i think the C-plot closed up the main one really well, even if her efforts were useless in the scheme of the games themselves||

||The only thing i was less unsatisfied was with characters like Woo-Seok that felt unfinished and the brother feud had no conclusion, don't know how giving him the baby was meant to tie that off||

So I'm a Spider, So What? anime beat at 24 episodes. Loved it. But boy did it have flaws lol. The good: seeing our MC’s struggles was great fun, and the fights scenes are all great. She’s just talking and thinking to herself but she’s very entertaining. I also love the snippets of lore we get of the world. The opening and ending songs for the first half was great as well. Second half ones were ok.

… and then there’s what EVERYBODY had a problem with the series it seems haha. You see the title? It is, indeed, the story about a high schooler who reincarnated into a monster spider. But as a narrative device, we are actually told two stories. Hers, and the decidedly less entertaining story of the rest of her classmates. ||it also has a meh twist that made go “oh ok. So?”. I’ve seen this twist work in other media, so shame it didn’t work out here.||

Can’t wait for season 2. Will read the manga soonish haha.

Oh new season of One Piece dropped in Netflix. Now, I say season, but it’s just 4 episodes of Filler LMAO! Silver Mine is mostly harmless, though for a change the villain ||is effortlessly crushed haha. Even AFTER he got a power up. Luffy didn’t even need to go Fourth Gear. Also funny that this is the SECOND really hot devil fruit filler main enemy Luffy has faced, the first one being Don Accino before the timeskip.|| Kind of weird they made this filler as well as a TV special to tie in with One Piece Film Gold. Oh well.
