K-Pop Demon Hunters beat. Definitely the surprise of the year so far, didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. The 3D artstyle and animation was reminiscent of claymation and VERY expressive. Loved the main characters, the storyline and the lesson it teaches, and the songs are all fantastic. Goddamn hilarious too.
It has a few weaknesses though. Only the main girl Rumi gains any meaningful spotlight, and the other two are treated more as comedy relief and sidekicks until the very end where they’re important. Also, despite being the main character and we keep being reminded of… we don’t actually quite a lot about her background. We got the cliff notes but, yeah.
Still, love the movie. Highly recommend people check it out.

Sad for me to say because I loved the netflix show, but I didn't really like born again. Idk it felt weird. It didn't feel stable. There were talks of creative shifts too like at first, it was gonna be a straight up reboot but then the team kept on getting fired and replaced then turned into a season 4.
I hope season 2 will be better and as good as the netflix show
