Caught up with When Life Gives You Tangerines at 12 one hour episodes, a generational K-Drama about a family in a fishing village on Jeju Island. Loved it! Ae-Sun is a great MC. I like the jumps in time highlighting how similar or tragically different events played from mother and daughter, like someone hiding in a closet to keep their relationship a secret and how their first love played out. Can’t wait for the final volume and 4 eps.

While waiting for the release in a week, I checked out the first episode of the series called Adolescence and holy crap I freaking loved it! It’s about a 13 year old kid who is caught by the police for murder. What really amazed me is that the entire first episode is one take. AN HOUR LONG One Take! Like damn that is some dedication to the craft. Four episodes too. Definitely didn’t go in the direction I thought the story was going haha. Will finish up tomorrow.
