Daredevil: Born Again Season One, Episodes 1-2 “Heaven’s Half Hour” and “Optics”.

It’s like it never left, but it kinda did because some shots have that Disney color grading and others do not, hopefully it will be changed as time goes on and into the second season. All the classics are back: Manwhore Murdock, Matt’s stalking, the religious thematics, and even a hallway fight. Love how they create parallels and through-lines between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk not only surrounding what it means to be “Born Again” but regarding the bureaucracy of politics and the religious thematics of grace/faith vs retribution/vengeance. Also, I like the intrigue on Wilson Fisk’s true morality they’re building up. Some shockingly sad and some clever reveals along the way, but alas. Although I’m bummed John Paesano isn’t back for the score, The Newton Brothers are more than fine, considering what they did with X-Men ‘97. I appreciate how they don’t force you to watch Echo to understand where Kingpin is at now. A small part but, I didn’t really vibe with the needle drops.

Log Horizon Manga… sort of beat? At 1 volume and 7 chapters. It’s about 30k players trapped inside an MMORPG as their characters. I liked it well enough from what I’ve read. Not sure there’s anymore though, end of the volume said there’s gonna be a second one but I can’t find any info that it was ever released.

I’ll just watch the anime when it comes back to Netflix.
