Caught up with Sakamoto Days at 201 chapters. So glad I dropped the anime for this, this is an amazing combat shounen manga. The set design, the combat flow, and crazy over the top action makes it one of the all time best.
The story started off more comedic as the greatest hitman in history retired and starts a family, becoming fat and running a convenience store. As it focuses more on the hitmen it becomes more intense and action packed. What makes Sakamoto great as an MC is that he doesnāt have a specialized weapon, rather he uses whateverās around to fight. Makes every fight unique and fun to enjoy.
As far as weak points of the manga goesā¦ the author tends to underutilize older characters not named Shin haha. Also, Emotionally it doesnāt quite capture me. But the crazy fights more than makes up for its shortcomings
In summary, HIGHLY recommend people check this out. Especially those that disliked the anime, give the manga a chance. You might love it as I did.
