Pop Team Epic anime both seasons beat. For those who don’t know the manga is a shitposting masterpiece full of hilarious random, absurd, meta, and 4th wall breaking comedy starring two girls named Popuko (the short angry one) and Pipimi (the tall calm one) as they do whatever the hell the author wants them to do for the joke, changing settings, looks, species, etc. The anime though… elevated it to a whole other level. Among the insanity they did was:

• they couldn’t pick just one Voice Actor for the duo, so every episode they have a different pairs (often themed like the voices of the Hunter X Hunter main characters) come and voice them. Two pairs actually, a Male duo and a female duo. This results in each episode being 11 minutes long BUT they air both the female take and the male take one after the other. Sometimes they even change dialogues and animation between each half lol
• they don’t even settle in one style of animation. Not just various 2D styles but also Claymation, puppetry, freaking sketchbook animation (this one is amazing), 3D, and LIVE ACTION TOKUSATSU SEGMENTS! They even got Sunrise to animate their giant robot segments. Crazy!
  -They hired a non Japanese speaking director for a segment, which includes an interview with said director that the producers told would only show up as a DVD special, but they ended up using in the actual episodes.

I’m just sad Netflix doesn’t have the 1 hour special. But yeah go watch it. It’s hard picking a favorite to show to people, but I chose the Shining Shoulder segment. Give it a try!

Hell they could have done a terrorist type plot with Serpent Society with that Celestial’s Adamantium and have that be the whole angle of the “political” shit they’re trying to pull and have “commentary” on like criminal circumstances. Then, have the final fight be one where Captain America and the new Falcon just try and stop Adamantium based weapons that the Serpent Society cooked up from doing terrorist shit around the world (this can be where they can set up for X-Men with the Sentinels and have one Trask or one Bastion be there somewhere). And save the Hulk villains for Hulk.
