Empyreal Cabinet was uh… not what I was expecting. The setting is in Not Japan, in a world where spells casters have won the right to be integrated into society. The protag is a team leader of the government’s branch of spell casters in current day Not Japan. Action? Yes. Great art too. But wow I did not expect this much political intrigue. Can be rather dry, and the non mc characters are pretty interchangeable and non memeroable. But I’m still hooked for some reason lol.

Ryota Killed His Brother is off to a great start. It’s a horror story about a school Kid who is forced to take responsibility for his younger brother due to family matters, but the stress and isolation this causes him pushes him over the edge. A closer look, however, reveals something… off.

Alright, so I'm pretty early into Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and I've noticed a thing

Where does human transmutation fail in which human birth succeeds?

Because one of the major costs with human transmutation is that you need ||a soul||, which is apparently impossible to transmute (okay I did a bit of googling forgive me) but when you, y'know, hanky panky boom and have a child that child gets a soul right?

So like

1. What exactly happens that allows human reproduction to create an entity with a soul
2. Depending on the answer to 1., could a sperm and an egg be a crucial ingredient to transmuting a human
