last season was 5 years ago lil bro

the thing about it is that ff s1 & s2 had some cracked out staff working on it that essentially came from another studio because the animation producer for these two seasons had connection to that studio that basically was on the verge of dying

so basically the staff that worked on ff weren't working at david pro before the show

yeah just checked properly, a lot of staff from Studio Shaft (Monogatari series and miscellanous other series that look good) basically transferred to david pro to work on ff

so it's not as though david pro actively chooses to hold back on jjba, the animation producer on ff just has a lot of friends that didn't care to work on jjba

(also studio shaft is still running but their output is considerably less)
