They don't have to, a few anime here and there have had different studios / directors / animators work on different episodes and it can really be felt that their directions and styles are different from each other but nonetheless have output good enough quality

The drop from ep1 to ep2's quality is just absurd how it could even clear for a pass

It's one thing to be different, it's another to just be made poorly

Like if it was made really well and in a direction that complements their own style, even if different from what previous episodes would have established, viewers would chalk it up to simple variety

Watched two more new anime, Orb: On The Movements On Earth and Blue Box.

Orb I’ve read halfway, and happy to say the anime does the manga justice haha. Freaking loved the manga, can’t wait to see the anime onlys reaction to the first arc ending.

Blue Box is pretty sweet. Scratches my romance work itch, and the MC is funny and likeable enough.

Ranma 1/2… I’ve never been a huge fan of Rumiko Takahashi’s works, but I liked the previous anime well enough, might check it out.

Anohana manga adaptation beat. I never watched the anime back when it was airing and I heard good things about it so checked it out since it’s only 3 volumes at 13 chapters. I really liked it, seeing estranged childhood friends slowly reconnect again was great.

AND THEN THE FINAL CHAPTER BLINDSIDED ME WITH A PUNCH IN THE GUT AND NOW I’M BAWLING
