Justice League: Last Ride beat. I really liked it. Just some good ol’ fashioned Elseworlds (I think? It’s definitely a standalone story in an Alternate Universe not tied to the main continuity/timeline/canon in any case.) Justice League story. In a world where the Justice League disbanded due to a past tragedy, the gang reunites to do one last mission together. They confront their issues, they kick ass together. And they save the universe as friends once again. Nothing groundbreaking, but sometimes you just wanna read an action popcorn flick of a story haha. The cast is also focused on a main 7 league members so don’t need to track a lot of moving parts. Lots of moments I loved too.

About the only complaint I have is ||is no one gonna mourn for Aquaman? Like, Martian Manhunter is also sad, but he gets to come back as an energy being lol, Arthur didn’t even get a mention past saying he’s probably dead.||

But in any case yeah I’d recommend it.

This Man: Sono Kao o Mita Mono ni wa Shi o beat. Anyone who’s familiar with creepypastas might remember one tale called Have You Seen This Man? about a man that a lot of people see in their dreams. It gets funnier when it was revealed that the story and picture was some sort of marketing for a movie that never came to fruition.

This manga is a Mystery/Thriller revolving a strange serial killer with This Man’s face. The explanation is a lot more down to earth and has nothing to do with the original hoax’s story lol. Not to say it’s realistic tho. Did I like? Ehh, it was fine. Loads of twists, some makes sense and some are just downright baffling. Like, why even include ||a childhood friend who is a separate, different murderer who started off as an ally then became an enemy then back to ally again.||. The tone of the story is also weird.

In any case it’s not a long read at all so not a bad time waster.

Caught up with Teen Titans Young Adult Graphic Novels. Loved them! It’s a series of YA comics about the one and only Teen Titans, set in a different universe starting with Raven in high school and slowly getting the gang together. Starting with Raven was great, since it touched with a lot of emotional problems teens had. The series as a whole has a more subdued setting, considering who it’s marketed for, but I feel they made it work. The only complaint I had is ||how much of a wuss they made of Trigon lol. But hey he’s weak after being sealed and growing in power so maybe he’ll go back to his terrifying full self in due time.||. Can’t wait for the next installment, Teen Titans: Starfire in November.
