those 10 beings are under the control of the true evil villain himself
after that he has to fight against people that he is related to which are the strongest beings he ever met ( he struggles really hard)
then they get invaded from daddy with his gang and the world seems to collapse

Starting Ultraman and damn loving it all over again man. Already loved the fight choreography vs Bemular and Baltan (hey one of my favorite monsters). After the mostly slow Ultra Q monster movements I forgot how fast Ultraman fights, just straight up wrestles Bemular and swings that poor sap around. Had to fight the urge to do the Specium Ray stance haha.
Also title song is so cheesy but I love it. Especially the corny English version. I love that it starts exactly the same as Ultra Q with the swirling paint before the real title smashed the screen and the song starts.

God, somehow in all my fond memories of Ultraman, I completely forgot about the annoying kid character. You know, the kind of character who has no bloody business hanging around a military/research organization with sensitive and dangerous technology and equipment?
His appearance in the first few episodes were innocuous enough. Ok so there’s a kid character that people somehow think that kids want to be as, when obviously we don’t want to be Batman’s sidekick but the real deal himself. I can deal with those characters.
And then the kid steals a gamma ray weapon and fights a giant invisible monster. On foot. He doesn’t even have Robin’s training or anything, he’s literally a random kid. In fact he’s so random the English dub changed it so he’s the youngest brother of one of the Science Patrol members just so he has some tangible reason to hang around. In the original he’s just some kid who’s… there. No backstory like Snapper Carr had for joining the Justice League or anything.
Maybe I just blocked him out haha.
