The grifters saying why didn’t Ki-Adi Mundi know about the Sith all those years later are dead wrong because this episode clearly states ||that it’s a rogue unknown darker side user that taught Mae, which brings me to the nuance of the Jedi that I like- that Vernestra deems the situation to be handled internally rather than be a public scandal, falling to the vices of corruption that led to them being peacekeepers no more||.

The action between Master Sol and the Stranger/||Qimir|| being about one who hides himself physically but really has nothing to hide vs someone who has demons and hides himself mentally is peak- compare that to Jecki vs Mae’s physical scrapping and eventually ||Qimir and Sol’s own physical scrap once the facade falls with Sol’s special rage||, it’s a special sort of contrast. Love the juxtaposition: Sol’s fighting demons ||not knowing Mae is on board until the near end of the episode when his demons simultaneously corrupt him for a bit to make him go rogue|| and ||Qimir is just chilling with parts of his civvie personality showing and getting intimate and having sexual innuendos with Osha||. Also appreciate how they’re not telling who wronged the Stranger: ||Sol or Vernestra and her lightwhip because of the X shaped whip scar on his back||. Even ||naked, Stranger still has subtle facial expressions like that look back knowing Osha will take the saber he intentionally placed out in the open, that jealous side eye when Osha questioned Sol’s fate, saying “desire” as the last powerful emotion on his list when looking up at Osha||. ||The Oshamir ship is heightened with Stranger defusing Osha’s attack||. “Allows for a swifter block”- the real character development will inevitably be when that block is successfully implemented. I appreciate ||Stranger wanting the power of two as if he isn’t already a false Sith, Mae wants revenge, he wants a false narrative and blocks out the truth for his own truth- figuratively and literally with how the cortosis helmet leaves him alone with the Force||. The episode title is all about the nuanced juxtaposition between Sol and The Stranger.
