You know what? I liked this post Sabaody filler the best out of all of the Boss Luffy ones. It’s a two parter instead of being a single ep thing like all the rest so there’s room to breath, and I love how they implemented Brook here. ||Instead of being a victim, he’s a willing participant in Thirtler Company’s dastardly deeds until his conscience prompted him to stand up to them.||. They also changed his looks a bit for this filler, not sure why, but it’s neat. Also loved the jokes here (the treasure and Brook can’t seeing because goddamn fish are in his eyes LMAO). The real life celebrity cameo was weird, I had the darndest time thinking of who Omao was based upon before looking her up.

Avatar The Last Airbender Live Action Series 1 beat. My verdict? Overall I liked it. With only 8 1 hour eps to work with they switched things around or compressed and combined things, for example ||combining Jet and Omashu and Northern Air Temple and… Cave of Two Lovers for some reason (and only with Sokka and Katara is an interesting choice LMAO)||. Most scenes have been very faithful to how it’s depicted in the original series, and I liked some of what they added here. ||They added some shorts scenes for Azula and her entourage here and there, and I like how they showed what an awful and ruthless person Ozai is. Tying together Zuko’s banishment with Jew’s crew was a change I really liked.|| My favorite scene is still the aforementioned Leaves From The Vine ||well technically two scenes. The scene where Zuko emphathized with Iroh’s loss of his son and stayed with him in his moment of grief, and followed by Iroh accompanying Zuko on his impossible quest.|| Visually, I liked it, though the colors seem a bit too dark at times. Some of the characters look… off, but some are great.
As a fan of the original series, I’d say give ep 2 or 3 a go and see if you like it. If a second season shows up, I’ll be watching at least.
In the meantime back to watching One Piece. Just Amazon Lily to Marineford left. Oh and Egghead.

There are two types of bidding vows, those that essentially make a contract between two people where if either one of the two parties were to break it some kind of repercussion related to them would happen and the other type, where by exchanging something you gain some kind of advantage, a good example of that is when geto/nanami etc sacrifice the information of their ability and in turns it gets exchanged.

Caught up with Rosen Garten Saga. An absurdly over the top utterly bombastic amazing trash combat manga about legendary mythical figures sucking it out with each other running purely on Rule Of Cool and doing it right. Fate and Ragnarok WISHES they were this bad lol. Gender changing swords, boy idol troupes, the manliest king who’d make Broskandar weep in awe and solidarity are just the tip of the insanity in this manga and I am goddamn loving every minute of this wild ride. Did I mention it has great art? Because it does.

(I know this is pretty much a "Show, Japan" kind of take)
Animes would already get merch available in the form of keychains, standees, pins, whatever small stuff way ahead of the actually airing
This includes both original shows and adaptations
They're already banking on merch sales ahead of time
And if you take a step backwards from adaptations, manga and [light] novels themselves are already merch as is, both as magazine issues and individual volumes
If you're in a magazine and your manga is debuting close to important dates like magazine anniversaries and milestones, you'll almost already be guaranteed even a tiny bit of merch of your own manga and that's already pre-volume1, along with other titles in that magazine
Comparing to the western industries where you're lucky to even get any sort of merch for your show/production, let alone good quality. And almost always have to be toy-like
This goes for already super successful productions and small-time ones alike
How can one support a show if there's no other way to support it other than watching it, and that doesn't even guarantee continuation cuz the big boys at the top can just decide to can it for no reason, popularity regardless
