The NPCs in this Village Sim Game Must Be Real! Beat. One of my all time favorite mangas and quite recent too. Oh sure it could be better but by god there has never been an MC who I’ve resonated more with. I’ve been in his position before, I can’t help but root for the guy. The story is about a NEET man whose life begins to change for the better as he takes inspiration from a mysterious video game about hyper realistic (and I’m using that that phrase sincerely) village simulation. I love this manga and can’t endorse it well enough. I still hate that it’s only 30 chapters, but the original novel it’s based on still continues.

One Piece Stampede movie beat. Was gonna watch Red but then realized this one came out earlier so yeah. Anyway, fun as heck movie. The straw hats are invited to a pirate festival where the prize for winning a contest is Gold Roger’s treasure… and a lot of other pirates got invited as well. A LOT a lot. The movie excels in fanservice, showing us old faces and hype matchups and team ups. It’s hard to pinpoint my favorite bit between ||Douglas vs the supernovas, Douglas vs the mix and match team, or the final Douglas vs Luffy fight. Heck, Usopp the support sniper even gets a moment here and there. But gun to my head, my current favorite moment isn’t even a fight scene… it was the final scene where Sabo and an illusion of Ace fired double walls of fire to save Luffy. Brings tears to my eyes man.|| Loved it.

One Piece Red the jukebox musical beat. Absolutely loved it. However one’s enjoyment of it is going to be heavily dependent on how much they like the central character, Uta. Oh and the songs of course. Fortunately I love them to bits. In this movie the straw hats attend a concert by Uta, Shank’s daughter and Luffy’s childhood friend. The concert soon spirals out of control. ||Honestly, the fact that I have NOT been spoiled as to the fact that Uta was the main antagonist is miraculous lol! Either that or I forgot if someone told me. Anyway I love that twist, and I especially enjoy seeing her expressions as she slowly loses her mind as her master plan unravels before her eyes. Speaking of bad guys, the first time Tot Musica showed up I was not impressed… and then the Demon King showed his true form. Should have known haha. The final battle was amazing with the straw hats and red hair pirates synchronizing their attacks between the dream world and the real world.||

One Piece Film Z beat. Through the magic of VPN, finally got to watch it haha. As for the film itself… got a few problems with it. Mostly with the pacing, didn’t feel like they needed most of the second act. But other than that Z was a great villain, too bad his lackeys were nowhere near as entertaining. Even Gold had better minions. Every Z fight was great at least, and the final battle between the strong trio and Z and his minions were fantastic. The final scene ||with Z sacrificing himself to save the Straw Hats and his subordinates was just chef’s kiss||. The movie has some uh, rather choice camera focus at times on the girls. Paid off for the Brook joke though lol. Oh also loved the Ocean’s Guide song.

Gender doesn't really make or break a character for me. So i don't think slapping the exact same character traits and personality on a male would suddenly make me go "Peak character"
