Definitely a strong opening series to the Energon Universe with tasteful and meaningful Transformers cameos, an intriguing story surrounding the Sacred Ring and the secrets behind Darak and Solila (as do the secrets of the war on the Sacred Ring), excellent world-building. Darak and Solila make for great protagonists too- and they did what they could to develop the antagonists with what time they had to develop them. However, the pacing kinda is weird as well (which hurts some sections) as how they ended the volume (a kinda weird cliffhanger).
