There was an interesting turn of events when Jojo's Bizarre Adventure part 3 came out, incidentally when we'd get our new protagonist, Jotaro Kujo, the next Joestar to take up the mantle after Joseph who succeeded Jonathan. This new turn of events, was the introduction of Stand Abilities, the new superpower in the show for lack of a better term.
At the end of part 3, Jotaro finds out that Star Platinum can stop time. As much as one could argue that Kenshiro could defeat Jotaro before the time-stop ability was introduced, it really doesn't matter because Star Platinum could stop time and beat Kenshiro to bits.
