Part 3 did something that JoJo was lacking from the series up until this point

it made the series fun

Crazy right

Parts 1 and 2 were short and bland and many moments I was basically falling asleep and only a few episodes kept me invested

But when I started watching part 3 I liked how it really started to connect things together and really brought everything together up to that point

The first thing it improved was the action. Stands were the greatest thing added to series as it made the writing go in all crazy places. Hamon was pretty boring by the end of part 2, but with stands you never knew what was gonna hit the Crusaders next

The story is simple and but it went all over the place with where our characters ended up next.

The characters were all entertaining and diverse, you had a previous JoJo, a fortune teller, a vengeful swordman, a bad ass gun slinger, a dog etc.

They casts compared to previous parts don’t even compare, our characters don’t die after few episodes within meeting them and they weren’t afraid to get comedic and isane with them

Part 3 actually made me laugh and experience all types of emotions during their journey

You say the story was repetitive with how they fought a new villan each day and on paper it sounds but each villan was so different they were all memorable and they made it so you can never expect. They also did have motives whether it be riches, fame, Dio’s attention, or to prove something to themselves

The Pillarmen were introduced and that’s it you knew what to expect. But as said part 3 changed things up each episode

They also paired different characters together and even had a few take a break through the part, the team was constantly changing, he’ll Polenareff and kakoin were villans

Part 3 was probably the most unrepetive part when you view it like this

Part 3 also introduced the amazing soundtrack the series is known for, and although previous parts had decent OST you need to admit part 3 offered much better themes and variety

You also say the characters were bland

Y’all need to know that not every character needs to be super developed to be entertaining.

Spongebob had no character arc yet everybody loves the show, you know why because his character was meant to entertain.

The same thing is with the Crusaders, even though they did change by the end of the journey

All of them were established and the show put them in different situations and it was fun seeing how the Crusaders handle each battle in their own way

The Darby episode is perfect example, Polenareff was rash and got souled, Joesph the trickster got tricked, and Jotaro ultimately won since he remained calm

We spend so much time with them by the end of the part you actually feel the first ounce of concern for a character in the series, as you spent some much time with you grow attached with to them.

Now Dio…..

For a majority of the season we don’t see him but we see just enough of him where he still feels like the main Villan

They waited to introduce him so you actually know when shit gets real, especially when starts dropping the Crusaders like flys

His philosophies, quotes, and fight scenes easily make him the most iconic villan in all of JoJo and anime in general

Dio could be a whole other essay but I wanna wrap this up

But his confrontation with Jotaro is the best as you have one character who uses his rage to elevate himself above others and then the other who uses his rage to help others

In the end is part 3 a master class anime….no

I give it a 7/10 just a solid part as it could have been a bit shorter and a long with a few other things that were shoe horned in or just wasn’t entertaining

But part 3 is what put JoJo on the map and it’s what truly paved the way for the rest of the series

I’ll say it again it’s not the best part as future ones improve upon part 3 and it’s not even my fav but it was just a fun at the end of the day
