Can we just take a moment to realize how Avdol getting resurrected is the worst twist ever
Avdol’s death triggered a lot of important character development for Polnareff through the Emperor and Judgement arcs, and the removal of the man who had been serving as the mediator of the group until that point would have forced the remaining 4 Crusaders to develop in order to work better as a team. Furthermore, Avdol dying was an excellently-written moment in general; most of Part 3 was a monster of the week type of story, and a major character dying that early on seriously helped the narrative due to the fact that it gave the story more stakes.
Avdol coming back throws all of this out the window, and for what? He’s basically never relevant again up until he dies for real in the Vanilla Ice arc.
It just makes Avdol’s “death” in the Emperor arc feel retroactively cheap and pointless. The entire scene was powerful and emotional, and both the action itself and Polnareff’s reaction to it was a moment of major development that allowed their arcs to progress. It was an amazing scene and key to who Polnareff is as a character by that point, but it was all meaningless anyway because the bullet lightly grazed his forehead.
Also, Joseph/Jotaro/Kakyoin all basically being like “yeah duh we knew he’d be totally fine” is just total bs
