All Jotaro does in the finale of the fight is beat up Alessi because he thought a kid would be defenseless
which feels like it trivializes the encounter somewhat
Also, I feel that Alessi should have been made scarier
Oingo Boingo and Mariah were more comedic fights
And Alessi hardly comes off as serious in his fight

it’s great but obviously using the audio/script for the 2015 show creates a little bit of issues if you just try to insert it onto the 1993 series
the video creator did do his best and it’s a great product but it loses some of the ‘93 OVA’s little details,
like Jotaro putting in wooden splints in his clothes to help him recover from wounds he got earlier in the series. these are what jotaro uses to protect himself from the knives, not the bullshit “i put magazines when no one was looking”
but regardless that video is my preferred way of watching the OVA fight because i don’t like the OVA voice acting

Strength in reality was just a tiny little tug boat that was modified by the apes stand. Just like Wheel of Fortune, it doesn’t actually have a real form, it just possesses an object and can do whatever it wants with it like changing its shape and controlling things. Jotaro was theoretically just punching the air but since Justice interacted with that space, he could physically interact with it
This is one of the “You need to kill the user” type of stands like Alessi or Steely Dan unlike the “punch until it disappears” type of stands like Vanilla Ice and Dio

So I think that what happened is that Jotaro had the ability to stop time from earlier in the fight. So what he did is to trick Dio into thinking that his was longer like 9 full seconds by using his immediatelly after Dio's ended. So essentially:
0 seconds: Dio's stand starts
2 seconds: Jotaro loses his ability to move
6 seconds: Dio's stand ends and Jotaro immediately starts
9 seconds: Either Jotaro stops his stand early, or he keeps it going giving him a few seconds where Dio cannot move but he can
11 seconds: Jotaro's stand ends
After this he's basically won as while Dio could theoretically keep fighting he's been so humiliated that he pretty much gives up. Which is pretty much what happens after his leg is broken.
