and my biggest issue is they killed dear joseph or others to shine. And I was so pumpd when stands were introduced but then I realized it became a villain of the week routine (which I don't mind) but when that gets combined with overtalking of already known things during fights... Ugh

After stardust, though I'm only caught up on the anime, few things have gone quite as well as it did as a whole.
5 is showing promise but, apart from the final ark, it falls flat compared to the expansiveness of this part

#

You really do invest some time and focus on the group and it could literally go anywhere and be anything.
It was JoJo: Unchained.
After this, some of the charm was lost to me.
But that still doesn't mean that it can't possibly improve and overtake this. I shall see how the next parts turn out.

I feel like Vento Aureo got in a really bad habit of establishing rules for stands and then just discarding them a scene or two later instead of working within their limitations. at least when Stardust Crusaders stands did stuff like shrinking or star finger it was just coming up with new stuff and not breaking limitations or coming up with vast new categories of power

#

I know a lot of people won't agree but my gold standards for protagonist stands which are consistent, interesting, and work within their own limitations are Crazy Diamond and Stone Free. I feel like they're both leagues above any other protagonist stand. I am still reading part 7 and haven't read 8 yet tho

ok so
in the first of the two hanged man episodes, abdul tackles jean out of the way of a speeding bullet. not only that, but from a bullet that can change its trajectory after being fired. Thanks to this, we have now discovered that Abdul moves at the speed of light (since he was able to get to polnareff before the bullet did), but that raises another question: how wasn't polnareff crushed by the instantaneous force applied by abdul just jumping at him faster than a speeding bullet? If we are to assume that hol horse didn't just slow down his bullet for no apparent reason, and that abdul had the time to jump in before the bullet hit polnareff, the velocity abdul would be moving in would kill both of them.
Well, this is not the only time in the series we saw a character moving objects faster than the speed of sound and yet not breaking them. Infact, we saw said character moving polnareff without causing any damage to him.

I guess i just don’t get how joseph would be fine having the blood transfusion, especially after dio went fuckin sicko mode, when vanilla ice turned into a vampire when exposed to dio’s blood before
like yes, dio drank joseph’s blood, but it shouldnt have made it 100% joestar blood either.
unless im missing something?

well, there are 3 things involved in the blood thing

they're all just speculation or attempts to justify it but still

1 - as said before, it was joseph's own blood
2 - joseph's ripple may have "cleansed" the blood
3 - DIO's soul was obliterated, so perhaps it also cleansed the blood
