It looks fine in the Jap version but way worse here. There's 4 mouth flaps that match the 4 syllables of the original voice line. (YE-SU! I AM!). Pronouncing the "yes" with just one syllable, like a normal English speaker, would only be slightly off, with one unnecessary mouth flap. They could easily rectify it by slightly changing the line to "Oh yes! I AM!" or just putting extra emphasis on the "s" like the Jap VA did. Instead, they changed it to "Yes! You'd bet-ter be-lieve I am!" for a total of eight syllables. By going from one excess mouth flap to 4 excess syllables, they made the "godzilla effect" even worse than if they just carried over the line exactly.
