I think that's what it mostly is in the actual dialogue, he says 10 thousand years a lot for sure (not in reference to age, just his past). in one of the side things though (for the newer versions) it says wamuu is estimated at 12,000. kars is older than wamuu, so I don't know exactly how far ahead that puts him. but either way, without that information, upwards of 10,000 is a good guess.
