Tooru isn't the best but i enjoyed his presence, and his personality. The first time i saw him i imediately thought "damn what a sneaky bastard". I liked a lot the fact that it was the first jojo villiain that manipulated the characters behind the scenes, and that he had a connection with yasuho making him less suspicious to her and indirectly the other characters. Idk him being this egoistical bastard that acted all nice made me appreciate the guy right away. Would've liked it more if we saw him way earlier tho (not as an antagonist), but i guess araki didn't want to make a main big bad and that was kinda refreshing imo. Only thing i don't like is the fast deaths from wou but that's not about him

Just saying it doesn't make him a good character, it's just the reasons why i enjoyed him, he's far from Valentine, Pucci or kira imo

meh imo none of these at least to me are convincing of him being a good or interesting character alot of the traits he has aren't really unique and can be applied to other villains, his connection to yasuho would work better if there was an interesting dynamic to it but really theres not much there,he meets her when shes a kid with the goal of obtaining an identity for his stand and spends the next 10 years in the story stalking and then dating her for reasons(?),and at the end it doesnt amount to much character wise,well there was a page where he goes into some personal insecurities which admittedly might have given him some better appeal as a villain but it really doesnt go anywhere, i also feel the fact that he doesnt have much of a dynamic with the main character and only talks to him twice for the entire arc (not counting the stand) doesnt help either,same problem with rai where after its revealed he killed his dad for and stalks his funeral for reasons(?) , theres no payoff with it between the two characters other than it being an excuse to just kill off another side character

overall most of my issues with toorus character is that araki wrote him in a way that made everything about him disregarding the ability he has feel really bland
