i think if they made tooru a playable character he would be able to attack and be attacked normally, but he'd have some kind of way to activate calamity either by just special counter moves or a special mode that can be activated for a limited period of time

i think it would be cool if there was a 'calamity' bar that charges overtime when you're not using it, and when you use it, all the opponent's attacks are interrupted by some kind of stage hazard and deal considerable damage, thereby forcing your opponent to go defensive and allowing you to pressure them hard until the bar drains out

or perhaps that could be his great heat attack
