He was already a villain though? There was nothing noble or respectable about Jobin outside of cool factor. The Higashikata family having to suffer as a whole from Jobin's decisions from beyond the grave sounds sick than everything just being pinned onto him and generic state where "Higashikata family entirely turns on Jobin"

What made it fun was how split and how morally wack everyone was. From Mitsuba betraying Yausho, Tsurugi killing an innocent person, all while having everything just be a mess for everyone else involved.

I don’t think it’s only cool factor alone jobin was in the wrong in his approach but his actions came from a genuine desire to better his family and stop all future sacrifices that’s what what made me like his character,and youre right higashikatas are screwed morally but like not to the extent they would just not have an issue with jobin killing their father, and yeah I know he was already the bad guy from when was introduced I just think him having to actually process how far his actions led to everyone in the family suffering would’ve made him a greater villain

It's a conflict that doesn't have to force a fight between Josuke and Jobin, that's a generic predictable scenario and Araki doesn't like being a predictable writer. Jobin wasn't even killed as collateral in a way, he directly tried to fight and pursue the Head Doctor and suffered the consequences right when Jobin was about to get the new rokakaka. That sounds like a perfect way to end off his character if he truly died since he spent a lot of time and did a lot of bad stuff for the sake of collecting the rokakaka. Not only will his bad decisions cost his own life, but would kickstart the Higashikatas' downfall, the very same family Jobin obsessively tried to keep secure. And what loose ends directly need Jobin? Because loose ends like Kaato can happen without Jobin.

Mold or no, Jobin was a well handled antagonist but he wasn't nearly as big as the fanbase constantly hyped him up to be. Tooru is leagues more important than Jobin by actually tying into main characters' backstories and being the MAIN DUDE of the rock humans that antagonized everyone since early Jojolion. That's ridiculous to even remotely claim Jobin and Tooru are in the same league and I like both characters.
