Joshu is cool, but comes off as a bit rash sometimes. I feel like people dislike him because of his weird advances toward Yasuoh and cuz he doesn't like MC-kun Josuke. His character does have some pretty solid morals and beliefs, and they really seem to come out in these later chapters where Joshu is faced with certain serious situations that challenge what he believes to be right or wrong

But as a character, I really do like him
