I hate to stomp on theories but part of me thinks that satellite was just for trailer hype and the reveal stream.
Maybe in the actual reveal it'll have significance but again the date on the satellite matching up with the reveal made me think it was just there for hype

Plus, the nine wouldn't really make sense for Drifter to go to after Eris' death. They've been uninvolved until now.

The Five sought out paracausality as an answer to their dependency on life and gravity, and this led them to different places. The Ahamkara, resulting in a twisted Wish that created The Red Box. The Cocytus Gates once occupied by the Hive, creating failed lifeforms. They created Xûr, and eventually Orin.
The Four attempt to create their salvation themselves.

In both groups, they seek to free themselves from the shackles of life and gravity, that which forms and yet binds their minds and bodies.

i tried to point out that WQ sacrificed real character development and used leaps of logic to service the "mystery" which was spoiled by the very first teaser trailer

because genuinely, there is ZERO reason for Fynch to not immediately mention the fact that Savathun has a ghost and his name is Immaru

it's not like Immaru tries to hide his existence, you can immediately walk up to a patrol beacon after the 2nd mission and hear him announce himself as daddy

he's just never mentioned once directly in the campaign ever besides the one "her ghost got away" line after the ritual fails

the "twist" cutscene only ever acts like it was the Traveler itself that gave Savathun the light, even though Immaru was established to be an existing character who would 100% be willing to join her as a means of gaining power

bungie just needed us to be fumbling around aimlessly for 7 missions so that's what they did, i don't like it

there is zero reason for nobody to immediately think "why would she only let this happen to her followers and not herself" with fynch also knowing that immaru is a person who exists

he just decides to never mention it so the plot happens and we can have a twist

A few things. In this case? He failed. He did not prove the Sword Logic, he did not keep his vows. Indeed, you could argue this new existence itself is heresy - new life unearned.

Same reason why Lightbearers are heresy incarnate, really. We did not earn our rebirth(s).

Oryx had died. The Echo of Navigation knew this as much, and yet his first thoughts were to continue living

Not only did Oryx commit heresy by avenging Crota, the Echo (which is Oryx's memories up until having communed with the Deep) took a pretty long time to be willful to embrace its death.

the OXA is a device that was created and rebuilt many times by the Psions. It allows one to look into the past and potentially predict the future.

Otzot was a Psion who rebuilt the OXA at one point which caught Calus' interest. As a result, she was elevated to Freeborn status and would later aid several other conspirators in staging the infamous coup that saw Calus exiled from the Cabal Empire. She did this as to retain her social status since Calus sought to free the Psions. Her current wherabouts status is unknown

The traveler is a benevolent entity, it (or she) actively cares for us, maybe in a weird mysterious way but she actively wants us to prosper

it showed up out of nowhere one day on mars, and had begun teraforming it

some astronauts went up to it to investigate

Why can we use light and darkness?

this led into the golden age of humanity, the traveler teraformed various moons and planets, and kickstarted our technology to hell and back, we tripled our average lifespan

The witness and it's black fleet was hunting the traveler, normally it runs away but this time they stood their ground and managed to repel the black fleet temporarily but was injured and weakened

It went dormant, but not before making "ghosts", a bunch of drone like creatures

The Traveler created the Ghosts. The Ghosts created Lightbearers (Guardians).

To put into perspective, "crow" used to be uldren sov before he died, uldren was a terrible piece of shit who we killed with our own hands

Well, Prismatic came five years later.

Consider it to be a god of Light. The Traveler is a terraformer who visits civilisations and uplifts them, terraforms their worlds, and tends to them as a gardener. Unfortunately, the Black Fleet and the Witness (and often the Hive) always followed, and would destroy these civilisations.

The Traveler tended to the Eliksni on their planet of Riis, until it fled, hoping to draw the danger away from Riis - this failed, and led to the Whirlwind (the destruction of their civilisation), and most survivors followed the Traveler to our Solar System centuries later, after our own civilisation was also destroyed.

Unlike with all others, the Traveler stayed with us. It was damaged in the Collapse, but at the climax, created the Ghosts as it pushed back the Black Fleet. The Ghosts scoured the system for their chosen dead to resurrect as the first Lightbearers. Eventually, as the Last Safe City of Earth was formed, we took the name Guardians.

This skips a lot of details such as the Dark Ages, but we can get to that if you're interested later.

Btw, in this scene we see the Echoes fly out of the Traveler. However, if I remember well, the comms also say that three pieces of unknown matter flew out of the Traveler when the Witness was defeated, but that happened before this scene. So is it possible there's more Echoes?

We saw 3 echoes but there was a cinematic a while back that showed I believe 8 echoes with one crashing or being destroyed on impact.
But it was a cinematic probably just to emphasise the result of the battle with the witness.

I could see maybe fragments of echoes becoming a treasure of sorts but I don't believe more fully active echoes are out there aside from the one maya sundaresh uses in the vex network.

It seems unlikely that there would only be three echoes that were created. While the Ikora cutscene can't have it's truth be determined fully as of yet, it feels like something as powerful and as long-lived as the witness would have far more memories turned into echoes. Of the three that we got, one is Te'Qal, one of unnamed (likely Chelchis), and one is Oryx. The Witness had other followers such as Rhulk who could theoretically be remembered as echoes, and other decimated races who could've had notable members amongst the slain
