as a result, the forges were ravaged and scrapped by our enemies
speaking of Arrivals, it still annoys me that no one talks about the dynamic between the exotic quest weapons from that season enough
this story sounds amazing, I wish I could’ve been there to see it when it happened
Mael mentioned Lightbearers came and ended the original founders right?
Does that mean the lore tab for Izanagi’s is the final confrontation?
I know one of them is a branch off of a really important tree
lorewise, it is stated that Ruinous Effigy actually drains your Guardian's Light
on the other hand, the Traveler's Chosen's trait is calld "gathering Light"
A different perspective of the events of...
This lore book
Specifically Entry 108
one of the founders was killed by an unidentified creature that attacked Niobe labs not long after the Collapse (or during it)
another blew herself up in order give the others a chance to escape
Meyrin as seen in the Izanagi lore tab sacrificed herself so Ada could get away
Awww how nice
other members were either killed by said creature prior or were taken out by Risen
Also unidentified creature?
well, given some info we have now, it just might be a Hive ogre
I would be totally down to blame anything bad that happens in the lore on a hive ogre, or all of them to be specific
It had an "earthy smell" to it. Honestly I wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being a tormentor even.
Hive orge does seem like the most logical option though
Hive has been described to have a similar petrichor smell.
hence why we think it might be a Hive Ogre
True.
Still it's fun to speculate sometimes. Like what if the dread were part of the collapse at some point but since we were too busy trying to escape we never noticed amongst the chaos.
I'm pretty sure the Dread were specifically made to fight us
not quite sure when Tormentors first came to be though
Nezarec is seen as the first one though
Tormentors are imprints of nezarec so considering he was there during the collapse I think tormentors definitely could have been around at the time. Subjugators, the psion dread and grim probably not though.
I wonder if anything was derived from calus. Mara said that even calus was a part of the witness experiments so I wonder if something resembling him was created at some point.
I mean its possible that the one being that was present around the black armory factory thingy wherey they took refuge during the collapse was a tormentor
I mean tbf Devil splicers also didn’t have a Kell
Aksis was the archon
Not the Kell
Tormentors are described as the result of Calus’ cloning tech
Also the black fleet never actually made it to earth
Aren’t all hive related?
I mean just asking because they all came from the three sisters
Did they?
I assumed
I mean hive are the least knowledgeable of my destiny subjects despite how they’re related to 2/4 of the other main factions
(Cabal and fallen)
not all are related
when the three sisters became the first Hive, the returned to their people and forced them to convert to Hive as well
those who refused were killed off
Only the hidden swarm and blood of oryx are all directly described to be the descendants of their relevant gods
Savathun literally only had 2 children who both died without any offspring
Her brood is just a bunch of random guys
Dul incaru is still alive
And yet forever dead
She comes back every week
Because as long as the curse goes on she will be dead
6 weeks
Mb
I did the math a year ago or so and found we’ve killed her about at least 70 times
We really love her according to sword logic
No not specifically
Challenging your family is just a way to express your love because you want to sharpen your blade with theirs
Murder is still just actual murder
Isn’t it a three week loop?
That’s what I thought
There’s only 3 locations in the dreaming city Petra can move to
Oh yeah three weeks
Either way
No kids
The blood of oryx and hidden swarm are the only brood directly related to their relevant gods
I wonder if the Young Wolf still deals with Dul Incaru or if we delegate it off to others
Blood of oryx because duh and hidden swarm because Omnigul “raised Crota an army”
I’d be sick of killing the same person for years tbh
I feel very sorry for Crota
Young Wolf checking their calendar and is just like “oh for fuck’s sake it’s that time again”
Performing your marriage vows and your partner sounds like that
Well saying hidden swarm took the spawn of Crota into their ranks yeah
Exactly my point
I worded it weirdly
They didn’t take them into their ranks
They’re literally his bloodline
They are the army Omnigul raised
I doubt we do it still
We have more taxing issues than dealing with her
I mean, I don’t get your point
She sounds about the same as other hive, being screechy is hive norm
She is referenced in universe to have a worse voice than other hive
Because she screams
Characters recognize her just by the shriek
There is a specific difference in the noises other wizards make and Omnigul makes
Well if Crota put up with it isn’t that a commitment of love? (At least by our terms not sword logic)
I was just making a joke about that part
But also there’s probably a reason Crota sent Omnigul to earth first while he napped for like a thousand years
Well saying Crota has children and grandchildren he must’ve been fine with it
does anyone know of a youtube video to explain the lore of all the vaulted expansions in destiny
We have one relegated to one video in fact
And more

i feel like im missing out, i have no idea who cayde and crow are

tyy
Cayde was the old hunter vanguard, very little lore significance, he was just a cool dude we liked
Cayde was the Hunter Vanguard. Like Zavala is the Titan Vanguard and Ikora is the Warlock Vanguard. He was notoriously lax about his responsibilities, and he met his fate in Forsaken on an op alongside us, the Guardian
Crow, the now resurrected guardian version of uldren sov, brother of mara sov, queen of the awoken (blue guys)
Cayde, previous hunter vanguard, killed by uldren sov
Crow is closely linked to Cayde’s fate. Uldren Sov was the man who killed Cayde, and after we killed Uldren in revenge, a Ghost resurrected Uldren as a Guardian. As Lightbearers don’t remember their pasts, Crow developed into his own person (though he was persecuted for his past life’s acts)
oh hes resurrected
im gonna wait to find out how that happens
Yeah
Every single guardian is
okay now im just asking for spoilers imma just..
Crow’s backstory was pretty much wholly told in seasonal content. We first met him in Season of the Hunt during Beyond Light’s year

This is explained immediately I D1 tbf
So the campaigns won’t really fill you in on him
im guessing seasonal content cannot be revisited at all?
Most of the lore with Cayde’s fate and uldren sov in tied in with forsaken (the expansion where Cayde died) and crow was resurrected before season of the hunt
Yeah. The game would be far too large if every expansion’s seasons remained in the game
Crow was revived prior to hunt
So they’re vaulted at the end of their expansion’s year
Oh right mb
wait seasons last an entire year?
No
or like 3 months but all the ones from the year are vaulted
Seasons/episodes last for the duration of their connected expansion
Sometimes, there are examples like witch queen where they are delayed
Not to say this is why content shouldn’t be vaulted but this is saying content shouldn’t be vaulted
thank skibidi for lore nerds i was so lost
Because now new players have to play catch up
It’s unavoidable, unfortunately
And yeah it does make it difficult and daunting for new people to get into
But we’re happy to help you understand it better
much obliged
By the way new guy if you ever feel like learning some dungeons and raids after your campaign grind I’m here

awesome sauce
thanks
Yeah np
Atraks vs Aksis who wins
No, not really
Powerscaling is kind of dumb
Unable to be feasibly applied unless the fictional universe in question has extremely simple "power" to measure
Like dbz
Like how do you even set up the fight
Is it held in the siva compound where Aksis controls the systems? The morning star? Does Atraks get the raw power of the atom bomb?
Do they just fistfight until one of them blows up
They can’t fist fight if Atraks gets clone powers
Then that’s an easy dub
I’m more seeing it compared by how powerful their wipe mechanics are to decide their raw power
I mean
Is SIVA DENSITY CRITICAL or Extinction Protocol stronger?
Siva density critical is literally just all the siva in the area tearing you to shreds
Extinction protocol is literally the nuclear detonation of the morning star whilst plummeting into the surface of Europa
We have no real way to compare the two as they both immediately kill us
Neither of the two are the direct result of either individual
We don't know how strong the nukes are
It’s just technology they have access to
They can’t use it in a 1v1 successfully at all
No
Atraks activates Extinction Protocol
Dps is that
Destiny 2 Beyond Light - Deep Stone Crypt Raid - Atraks-1, Fallen Exo Boss Fight Completion / Day 1 Contest Mode. Just a quick video showing our first defeats of the new raid.
PC setup:
MSI MPG Z490 Mobo, i9-10900k CPU, RTX 2080 Super GPU, 64GB DDR4 3200 C16 Ram, 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, 8TB HDD
Keybindings can be seen here: https://youtu.be/RYtWyY...
1, esoterrick video
2, she’s just using the morning star’s systems
It’s protocol that Clovis designed way back when
Do we have proof for this
That’s literally the designed purpose of the morning star system
Mainly just to show the chat saying extinction protocol activated and dps
If the DSC is compromised Clovis’ plan was to arm the station with nukes and slam it into Europa, destroying it in its entirely
Guess what Atraks is carrying in the encounter
[Post Atraks-1]
“Multiple hostile intruders detected within the orbital platform. Orbital confinement protocol initiated. Status: halfway to nuclear core is obscured. You have no warnings left. Nuclear descent protocol initiated.”
It says nuclear descent protocol
A shock rifle?
Nuclear descent is the part where the morning star actually descends
Exactly
Extinction protocol is the extinction of all life in the station so the ai can enact the descent without contest
That’s the whole point of his annoyed speech in the spacewalk
[Post Crypt Security, Crypt AI from now on]
“Crypt power systems compromised, initiating emergency back up system. Crypt status: active. Orbital status: standby. Humanoid lifeforms detected, approaching Clarity Control. Exo lifeforms present, welcome home. Threat determined, crypt compromised. Nuclear descent protocol recommended.”
He never states exaction protocol
He’s upset about being unable to kill everyone on the station beforehand like he wants
He always says nuclear descent
Extinction protocol is the lead in
It’s not Atraks having special powers
It’s just basic systems of the station
She can’t just do that whenever she wants
She litteraly pops it after waiting to long
If you don’t kill the servitors
Because she’s in the station accessing its systems
The servitors are hooked up to the station
That’s the entire point
The only time she used a systems functions is clean sweep protocol with VH where she caused the burn with the nuke
I don’t understand your logic
It is never stated that extinction protocol is a system of the morning star unlike SIVA density critical which is aksis using his SIVA controlling powers to weave it to kill us
Besides upon failing to kill a clone by leaving it in the air ducts or refreshing it by shooting she causes a wipe that moment with a clone and it’s said to be replicated ruin on the death bar
In fact basic extinction protocol is labeled replicated ruin
Why would it be called that if it was a thing made by the morning star
Why would her own special power be labeled a “protocol”
I don’t believe it’s a big leap of logic to assume the two things that take place explicitly in the morning star station labeled as protocols are in fact protocols of the station itself, given everything about the raid happens due to the bray tech inside the facilities
Atraks only exists because they raided exoscience
Atraks only exists because praksis made her body
Compare these two aren’t they similar?
Where’s it stated that praksis was involved?
He was already dead by the time Atraks was still a normal Eliksni
According to mask of braksis it’s implied he foresaw the exo fallen operation
But his technological expertise probably helped a lot of their plans regarding becoming Exo
And yeah, Praksis was aware of or at least predicted how DER works and devised their response to dealing with it
Yeah, but y'know what they did have! Aura
The more I read about Aunor, the more absolutely love her.
I like to imagine he immediately fell unconscious on the floor during this
The tea of Nezarec was laced

Eramis saw value in that little Dreg she met in the PoE
there's a reason he became a part of her High Council despite not being someone she knew previously during her Devils days
I wonder if she will have any dialogue about him in act 2
given what we know about act 2 so far
speaking of which, that emblem they are giving tomorrow in the reveal stream is sick
I might not use it, but I just might make a twitch account just for it
The most praksis has been spoken about by her post beyond light is her speaking of his scornification on seraph station
we do at least have some lore on him and Eramis from "The Once-Shipstealer"
I realize I forgot to write post beyond light
since it seems like PoE will be coming back in Act 2 and Eramis is involved in Revenant, there is a chance she will talk about Praksis directly
would like to hear her talk about her friends
Perhaps we would speak about variks or the mad warden
yeah, a lot of this shit does actually tie back to Variks
due to the Prison riot Variks caused, several dangerous prisoners escaped including:
Siviks
Fikrul and the Scorn Barons
a mad Uldren Sov
Eramis
so the events of Forsaken, Black Armory, and Beyond Light (among other things) are Variks' fault
however, Variks only left the PoE because he snapped
he was working tirelessly to try and cure Uldren and Fikrul's respective conditions
and he was forced to pretty much do it all by himself
and guess who's to blame for that
The funniest part is Eramis was the one who benefited the most from these events due to siviks’ crime gang being forced into house salvation and her even converting house devils to house salvation
Fikrul got hunted down and his barons got destroyed
Uldren died
Eramis survived for much longer and is still alive (technically so is fikrul but he’s fucked off for a while now from us and Eramis has been our semi ally at times)
She’s won
yeah sure bud, she's won...
Siviks was kinda stupid though, will agree he lost hard
but Fikrul is making one hell of a comeback
pulls up to the HELM Echo in his hand and just wrecks the place
then goes back to his takeover plan
realizes that his father is dead to him and is now focused on getting his revenge on us
meanwhile Eramis takes L after L
Isn't she getting therapy?
Vanguard-sanctioned therapy for prisoners
She was taking W’s
I mean Atraks seems to be utterly taking W’s
no, she wasn't
she wasn't either
the Corrupted Puppeteer ain't even her techicaly
Being the first fallen exo is an achievement… despite tearing your face off
then she got knocked off and then possessed by whatever that corruption was
I mean yeah
probably wasn't even Exo for a week before tht happened
But like isn’t that a W for the white captain or whatever has her in a chokehold
and no, she was not taking ANY sort of W
had to say that again because I cannot stress enough how hard she was losing
Made her own house technically
hell she had it worse than Siviks
at least Siviks was just killed and that was it
his syndicate dissolved
or was assimilated
You think they’re ever gonna make a scorn siviks
I feel like it’d be fitting to mock the spider in this episode
Eramis on the other hand had to keep on failing and seeing more of her House get turned into Scorn
Spider would just say "Skira's anus, he's back again, Guardian go kill that useless fuck again"
I feel like it’d piss him off again he HATES him
Any scorn is
They’re a shell of what was
Speaking of skira
Was it even real?
eh
I’ve always assumed it’s a falsity, a legend much like arcuis
Yes but I always doubt legends of the destiny universe unless confirmed
it's jsut that the legend of him slaying that beast had some lesser known info on it
Have we ever seen hive and vex interact
I feel like we’ve seen all interactions besides that
yeah, they hate each other
we have decent lore on their history
Vex being non-living goop milk is basically an antithesis to Hive sword logic so y'know...
Cabal/fallen - friendly (light) not friendly (dark)
Cabal/hive - not friendly(always)
Fallen/hive(mindbender) - friendly(he had a hive wife like wow)
Fallen/vex - not friendly(always)
I’m too lazy to write the rest
hold on, lemme provide a more detailed one
Ironically they’re the best possible manifestation of hive sword logic
They systematically replicated their entire power system and strong armed a bunch of worms into giving themselves an advantage when invading oryx’s thorn world, even
Speaking of this how would this work
They’re different species and they both lack lips they can’t kiss
But also I doubt alien species show love by hugs and kisses
Sol Collective / anyone else - Enemies

Xivu's Brood / Hidden Swarm (now) - Allies
Any Hive Brood / everyone else - enemies

House of Light / House of Salvation (pre-Revenant) - Enemies
House of Light / House of Salvation (now) - sort of Allies
House of Salvation / House of Dusk - Allies
House of Light / House of Dusk - depends but seems to lean on Enemies more
Fikrul's Scorn / any Fallen House - Enemies
Fikrul's Scorn / Witness Scorn - Enemies
Fikrul's Scorn / Shadow Legion - Allies
Scorn in general / everyone else - Enemies
Taken / Humanity and allies - Enemies
Taken / Dread - not much is known but likely Allies
Taken / Everyone else - depends largely on who is controlling them
additional notes:
Any Witness-aligned force were allies, but now that the Witness is dead, that likely changed.
I have it separated by focused faction
Holy fuck
I wish Scorn had official names for their sub-factions
Fallen have houses and syndicates with their own names, Hive have broods with their own names, Cabal have legions with their own names, Ves have subcollectives with their own names
the Taken haven't even had an alternate sub-faction design until TFS
They’ve had vague names sometimes that’s all
Fallen houses are very distinct like house of exile
Bright green
What in the travellers name is this
a list of relationships between specific subfactions
Good lord
maybe I should include another section saying that Vex collectives tend to be allied
excluding, of course, SD and NS
Truly a lore moment
Ok so I totally forgot what the one spaceship is called
The one released with final shape I think
And it has this super vague lore entry and stuff
What’s that all about?
The first knife?
Nacre?
If you're wondering what it's about it's a message from the winnower.
That's the one who is speaking
Is that tribbit?!?!
Cameo of the century?
Well they were all kind of controlled by one will, no?
Some of the Witness' pawns have had control sure, but ultimately they were all under his true control, right?
The Taken in Warlord's Ruin were under Hefnd's influence
And Riven also had sway over some Taken for a while
Nope
Just the taken already in the solar system at specific times
Savathun had always had Quria under her belt every since oryx gave it to her
Taken essentially scattered when Oryx died, basically just staying where they were left
Malok managed to rally some but there’s no “this is the only thing controlling taken at once time” principle
Some leaders of taken:
the three sisters (oryx, Xivu, Savathûn, by proxy of Quira)
Riven (could also extend to Savathûn)
Malok
Witness (and all witness allies)
The nine (technically)
Hey, where did we see the first pyramid ships? On io?
We saw some in visions. We saw the first physical one in Shadowkeep under the surface of the Moon.
Also nessus doesnt have any ships right?
There were no Pyramid ships on Nessus
Ohh that was the first one okay thank you. That was nezarecs right? I feel like im confusing the lore a bit
Is there a reason for it or its just a no
It was, though we didn't know that until years later in Season of the Haunted
Wasn't valuable or relevant to us or the Witness
I see, when did we learn about the disciples?
How was titan io or europa valuable then?
Witch Queen, initially. We learned of Rhulk.
Bear with me I'm busy
Titan because it scoured the past to try and find the Veil
Mercury for the Infinite Forest
Io because of the Tree of Silver Wings and the latent power of the Traveler within the half terraformed rock
Oh yea dw its all good
I see okay okay
Isn't the first one actually meant for Mars?
Since Mars has the time rifts?
For Titan, I'm not entirely sure about. Could be related to either the Hive or Ahsa
The Witness did scour Titan's timeline
I do think the Pyramidion was also an object of interest from Io
Yes, it was
There weren't time rifts though
Hmmm
There was
But we didn't see them
Sloane did
Mars was pulled out before the Witness was finished
Titan was completed
finally getting to the livestream after being at work all day,
"the dread being led by some taken forces" huh
like obviously the new story stuff isn't out there but, one, the taken already barely have established "leadership" within actual taken ranks, and two, the dread are being used as weapons by the shadow legion? is this just some misspeak or is it gonna be something actually tangible to the story
Don't ask me
I'm still at work, I'm not even home for another 4 hours
Haven't seen it
It's not clear yet but there's definitely something going on within the leadership of the enemy factions. It's very possible a powerful taken could have assumed control as other taken and even dread will just follow the most powerful being they see.
later in the stream they mentioned sylok as being a commandeer of the dread considering his "model prisoner" role
So far we know of yirix, xivu arath is still moving around mortal but some taken still bear her mark as we saw in season of the wish. And the dread seem to just be following whoever offers them purpose.
That'd make sense. They're in the prison so naturally there would be "top dogs" over the other prisoners.
how much free will have we seen a particular taken with
like in old lake of shadows I believe it was kind of a wonder that the taken there was seen as a "leader" since they tend to follow, not give orders
I believe malok was still given a good amount of will. He still served oryx obviously without fault though.
Who knows though maybe the taken are changing now and since we've gotten rid of the beings that would usually control them they've begun to start trying to lead themselves in order to survive and carry out the wishes of their maker.
need to ask a question to all the lore-goers
whyre the taken in the pale heart orange
Something something primeval resonance black fleet stuff
just sorta signifies their direct influence under the witness. sorta like cod zombies eye colors, I'd imagine
I wonder what will happen if Nokris successfully revive Oryx in the Ghost of the Depth dungeon?
Knowing that Oryx despite necromancy
Nokris is dead
Just watch any horror flick where the mad scientist dies from their creation
Now Nocru is alive
Kinda
Would have to use a time machine because I barely see that archetype in horror movies.
From horror movies I've watched the mad scientist just waddles off while the creation goes ham on everyone.
Yeah he tends to do that
And then returns cause yk necromancy
What even is nokris doing now?
No clue
Last I remembered we truly killed him during arrivals.
I know that part
He was a necromancer, not a lich
He didn’t have a throne world
His “death” in the strike was actually secretly a ritual to break into the ascendant plane sorta like how Toland did, but a lot more successfully
He used a piece of Xol’s corpse as a catalyst
what's the story behind Vesper's Host? (I haven't a clue why we're there or what we're doing)
Spider sent an associate of his to investigate a derelict space station for salvage. However, something happened to her which tells him that something is there that he needs specalists to deal with, so he calls us to investigate what is going on. So, we go there and find House Salvation there along with a strange corruption.
After entering Vesper Station and avoiding some traps, we see the anomaly off in the distance. After restoring power to the stasion's central AI, we move on further until we are ambushed by a Servitor made up of several other smaller servitors, which we avoid and then destroy.
We then encounter strange, orange arc energy while on our way to the center of the corruption that has overtaken the station, which is The Corrupted Puppeteer, a possessed Exo frame that once belonged to Atraks-1, the first Fallen Exo
thank you good sir
there is also some post-dungeon stuff tied to the rogue network quest
ooh, more lore?
So throughout the Rogue Network quest, we unlock more access to hidden Vesper Station logs where we learn that Vesper Station was made to house Clovis' more... secretive experiments. One of which was an ai made from Vex tech meant to help Clovis infiltrate the Vex Network.
Sorry for being slow but I have to ask
Is cuirass of the falling star a cabal armor piece?
We also find out that Clovis basically neutered Vesper Central's ability to access defense systems and such so she couldn't protect the station's crew. Not only that, but Clovis planned on having Vesper Station crash into Europa to hide any evidence of what went on there. He also kept the existence of Vesper Central's sister AIs from her.
In the end, we manage to fully release Vesper Central's restrictions and restore her back to her full self, Astra. She then proceeds to lock Spider and his men out while thanking us while Spider is pissed because we ruined things for him.
As for what the Fallen are doing there
Don't think so
So, quick note, during the Deep Stone Crypt raid, the Morning Star, the space station that crashed into Europa during the raid, did collide with Vesper Station during its descent.
As a result, the surviving copy of Atraks-1, Fallen Exo, ended up there.
Now then, I don't know exactly when this happens, but it might have been after the Morningstar hit Vesper. So a group of House Salvation refugees steal a Ketch and leave Riis Reborn because Eramis was a shitty Kell. They decide to make a new life for themselves on what they believed to be an abandoned station in Europa's orbit.
As it turns out, some unidentified corruption possessed Atraks-1's body and was using it to assimilate the minds of all other Fallen that settled on the station.
Then The Corrupted Pupetteer used the assimilated Fallen to build the Anomaly where it would send a message through.
@fair matrix that's pretty much the summary of Vesper's Host lore
The armor pieces have lore that goes a little more in depth on the Fallen side of things.
I wonder if she will meet the Soteria fragment on Neomuna
Maybe if bungie decides to tie up any of the other 50 loose ends
I hope so cause Soteria is my favourite d2 AI
the Episodes seem to be tying up the main stuff
Echoes was likely supposed to tie up any stuff with Failsafe as well as some Saint and Osiris stuff
also tie up Ishtar stuff while setting The Conductor up for a future plot
Revenant is supposed to tie up the Kell of Kells plot line and we will likely see a conclusion to Fikrul and Eramis' stories here
Mithrax possibly too
hmmm
I wonder if Mithrax will turn into a Nezarec-werewolf thing and fight Fikrul
They'll finally finish with Eramis
like a classic Vampire vs Werewolf fight
A what
I'm just thinking
Fikrul/Scorn are meant to resemble Vampires a bit
at least Revenant Scorn are
since they're "undead" in Eliksni terms
I guess that maybe makes sense
while Mithrax is afflicted with a sickness that takes a toll on his body
it makes me wonder if he will crash out and possibly transform
If only we could kill Fikrul with a stake to kill all scorn
Didn't even know that
the Curse of Nezarec
it's killing him and giving him evil Dementia

basically this clip
like one second he's commending us, then the next he's all like "no, they are false friends, they must all die" or something like that
would be a great way to give us a werewolf vs vampire fight between him and Fikrul
because Eido is trying to make a cure for him
which is why we're helping her find the old Apothecary
however, this apothecary has been captured by Fikrul
Ah that's what all the tonic stuff is for
so maybe that's why we're going to the PoE next week
unfortunately, a lot of the dialogue for the fieldworks can't be heard by a lot of players due to a bug so most players probably don't even know that
Path of exile
Prison of Elders
Ah right
Yeah it's annoying
Can't we just raid the apothecary
like raid as in... jump her?
her
the Apothecary is a person
she is one of the last remaining Eliksni who witnessed the WHirlwind
Apothecary refers to one who makes tonics
hence why Eido is now referred to as "Apothecary Eido"
I see
So why don't we capture the apothecary and attempt to free her from Fikrul's influence
we tried to find her, but Fikrul got her first
so now we need to find where she is
we don't know how she's doing right now
could be already dead
could be already a Revenant Scorn
who knows
what I wonder is, if Fikrul is keeping her alive and un-scorned, then why
what purpose does she have?
at least what purpose to him
while she is an expert at making tonics, I don't see what Fikrul would want with them
maybe, he doesn;t care about the tonics
maybe, he knows we're after her, and he knows why we're after her, and he knows what we stand to lose if we can't find her
and he knows that while killing her would cause us to lose valuable knowledge, maybe he also figures he can use her as bait
Fikrul's been preparing for this, he's made it clear he wants revenge on us specifically
he knows we've beaten him before, multiple times assuming we've canonically ran Hallowed Lair a lot
and now he has an Echo, so he's a lot more of a threat now
Maybe that's what the next raid will be about then if it isn't a reprised one
are we even getting another raid this year?
haven't heard anything about it
I'm pretty sure Heresy will drop with another dungeon
Dreadnaught dungeon!
likely
Deep gave us a Titan dungeon
I actually really like that the first encounter was in that forest area inside the Arcology
I've been wanting to go in there for a long time
Yeah it was a cool change to explore
I always wanted a mission where we went to recover his body since first doing kf in d1
I really do question the Vanguard's decisions sometimes
like, we know the body itself is still alive, why do we want to fuck aroud and bring it to the Tower
or City or wherever
I like to think it'd be contained in a separate vessel like the crown of sorrow was.
Like the helm so that in space it has nowhere to spread to. Obviously the helm has crashed now but during season of the deep I always thought that would have been a solution
Why didn't we immediately go and get it is my question
And yeah probably should have destroyed it
we didn't even know his body was there
until we ran the dungeon
We had savathuns remains brought to the tower and dissected by eris
now with Savthun's remains, there was a good reason
Probably could have tracked the body to it
we had to keep them intact so Immaru couldn't rez her unless she was close to her body
we didn't really put a tracker when his body was floating into space
not like knowing where his corpse would end up was a big concern for us at the time
The canonical ending to kings fall really is just us simply leaving.
and we only knew his body was on Titan becuse we followed the Lucent Brood ship that went into the moon's Methane depths
I assumed with the future tech and AI we could like track orbits and make an educated guess
At the time it was the logical thought. We killed him in his throne world. He should have died
Mmh
well Titan was gone for a while
Even sloane told us the ritual was to oryx but during the dungeon the radio cut out
and again, why would we even want to track his body
what case, he was dead
we knew he was dead
we didn't know his body was not dead
I mean I would want to make sure something like Oryx was for sure gone
By having his body
as far as we knew, he was
Again at the time it was the logical answer. Kill a hive god in their throne world and they die for good. We did that so no reason to go any further.
Only thing that really happened after we killed oryx was toland had a bit of a tantrum
I wonder if he will show up in Heresy'
maybe he will take up the role of "condescending asshat" liek Immaru was on Witch
I think it's possible. We're going back to oryxs old domain afterall. Not to mention the "eldritch force" that's supposedly going to lead us there.
Sounds like something he'd want to know more about
Dynasty?
yeah
so Savathun attacks the Qugu homeworld and takes a Pyramid ship that the Qugu worshipped or soemthign
then the Qugu later mount a desperate last stand against Savathun's fleet
but then, in the middle of the battle, the Dreadnaught pulls up and starts engaging Savathun's forces
in the end, the Qugu get annihilated by the Pyramid Savathun had
but what i want to know is what Oryx was doing there
sure the Hive gods always fought each other because Sword Logic and all
but I feel like there was more to this than that
mainly since Savathun had a Pyramid Ship
sidenote, that book shows how powerful The Lure (giant Hive ship floating on Mars) is
I wonder what xivus idea of a flagship is.
War Moons
jut a fuck ton of them
strange that we haven't even seen one yet
well they are described as not something the Hive can just toss away
so maybe they amount of them have dwindled significantly
That's something that's always bugged me about the hive. Where did all of this power they had go? Are they just kept outside of sol and transported through the ascendant plain?
I read stories of them going through light wielding civilisations like nothing. Even us during the collapse
Xivus shadow engulfed torobatyl
well apparently Xivu did plan on bringing a massive fleet right over the Moon
she even had them parked in the Ascendant Plane
but she needs a lot of power to transfer them over
and we ususally prevent the Hive from getting the power they need to do these things
Right. A lot of ops against the hive usually involve us closing portals
also when Oryx showed up, he kinda destroyed the fleet of Hive ships around him when using his Dreadnaught superweapon
Crota didn't seem to have the same amount of firepower as Oryx or another Hive god had
or maybe it was due to him being in hibernation for a while
Kinda basic but I think that's simply because crota is i guess in the hive sense a kid. Got manipulated by his auntie savathun and then punished by his father
I don't question crotas power i.e the great disaster but at least to me he seems very arrogant and cares a LOT about impressing his father then doing anything to truly become a hive god like the main 3.
most of it is, becuz i think lore entries are meant to imply that these are things we are reading ourselves
so it is safe to say that any lore entry are infomation known to the vanguard
It depends afaik
Stolen intel for example are just actual classified vanguard records
Most Loyal on the other hand is simply events being told which arent written down
Not specifically
Most lore entries are really just storytelling we don’t know about
If it’s presented in the form of an actual written document, yes, that’s meant to be our characters reading the actual text
If it’s just 3rd person narration, it’s just story
What if it’s with the character addressing others like the wildcard from the once ship stealer
But not explicitly speaking to them
It’s not in 3rd and it’s written more in 2nd like it’s to YOU
Yeah
That was her job after all
I'd say it's a case by case basis on whether we're aware of an entry or not, in universe
Yeah
Omg a real mod just agreed with me omg
My word adds weight to yours
This one seems real as this was her job before becoming the fallen exo
Yeah that’s a given
It’s a first person written piece of text
Atraks sat down and wrote/spoke it
In this case, yes, we may potentially be aware of it.
Are there any romantic relationships between eliksni and humans
No.
Keep in mind that House Light has only been in the City for three years. Prior to that, the Eliksni were historically one of our oldest foes, who hunted and warred with humanity for centuries.
Takes a bit to work through that.
Not for us, anyway. Wouldn’t have our alliance with Misraaks if we didn’t spare him in the first place
True, but we're also not making out with Misraaks.
POV: You tried to kiss Mithrax while he was having another evil dementia episode
jesus Dova
you can tell what Mithrax's condition is an allegory for
anyways, you think it's about time I go to the Cryptarchy
Where did all the extra infrastructure in the mars warmind room come from? something that's always bothered me
what do you mena by "extra infrastructure"
The area you fight kelgorath in. The place is a server room now
so you're asking why the Mindlab looks different now
yeah
I believe it's because of the Mars time rifts
Because it's where rasputin used to be
Just something that looked odd when we went back to mars
there is a lore where a titan punched a mountain and it moved right?
i am sorry if i am repeating myself but why no speedster guardian
if we can punch a mountain you can run faster than lightning
Wei Ning.
Wei Ning punched the mountain. It moved. A microscopic shudder, but enough to make her punch it again.
Anyone can punch a mountain
Doesn't mean it'll do anything
Anyway point is
A) Wei didn't really move a mountain by any tangible scale
B) Bungie haven't exactly provided us a detailed explanation of why not
Also strength does not equate to speed
Also speedsters are fucking awful to write well.
My interpretation of that is she just took a chunk out of a mountain through punching it multiple times.
Funny enough the "fastest" character we have in destiny is probably Marcus ren the sparrow rider.
If it's anything to do with speed there's usually a sparrow involved
Does anybody know why the drifter wants motes?
SUMMON A PRIMEVAL
but basically it doesn't really directly benefit him
Gambit was essentially just a means of both the Nine testing limits of guardians and Drifter's own personal satisfaction in getting lots of guardians to test the limits of darkness after years of very black/white thinking
it's why he gets so
when you invade
He does use the motes for faken stuff
@trim grotto HMU bro
I wanna know the timeline too of how Cayde die
Can u start from the beginning timeline of how he dies?
Firstly, let me get some groundwork.
You've played Cayde's Fate, but only up to the bugged part, yes?
Uh, no.
The Prison of Elders was an Awoken prison facility which housed some of the most dangerous criminals of the Sol System.
Petra Venj, the Queen's Wrath, asked Cayde-6 to assist her in securing the facility from a prison riot.
(Queen's Wrath is a title given to someone working directly for the Awoken Queen, Mara Sov. Petra is her right hand woman.)
Petra Venj has history with Cayde-6, and indeed Cayde-6 put a number of the inmates into the Prison of Elders himself - including the Scorned Barons and the mad prince, Uldren Sov, brother of Queen Mara Sov (who was, at the time, dead. Long story.)
You may recognise one of the Scorned Barons as Fikrul, the current antagonist of this Episode.
With me so far?
Can you go make yourself a cup of tea and then stub your toe and spill the tea?
Oh by the by Eris
I got the bits from the pale heart
Used bray.tech to see what I was missing specifically
nnnope
Ah
@errant tapir you there buddy?
Those names are unfamiliar
U can continue
Now I have another followup question if you are done
I am familiar with mara sov
She is the dark one. Is it from lightfall or witch queen? I don't seem to remember

So, we join Cayde-6 and Petra Venj in securing the Prison of Elders.
Part way through this process, however, we discover that Prince Uldren Sov and the Scorned Barons had broken free, and were attempting to escape.
Fikrul, the Fanatic, was the origin of the Scorn (partially the fault of Variks), and this was the first time we ever encountered them. Cayde-6 preforms an incredibly daring moveto cut them off, but ends up facing all of the Scorned Barons, and a hoard of Scorn themselves, alone.
Destiny 2 Forsaken Cayde-6 Last Stand and All Fight Scenes. All fight scenes with Cayde-6 put into chronological order including his funeral from Destiny 2 Forsaken. Cayde-6 Final Fight against the Barons and Uldren Sov, resulting in his death. Gotta love that Cayde's Personality still shines through, even on the brink of death. Especially when ...
This shall explain the rest
This begins from the part you can't finish due to the bug
Where the power is turned back on
Enjoy, @errant tapir
Okay
@trim grotto u mentioned earlier that mara sov brother died. How did he return in the final shape?
He didn’t
Uldren Sov has been dead for over five years
Who you see in FS is Crow, a guardian
Oh fuck sorry
Uldren Sov was killed by us and Petra Venj at the end of the Forsaken campaign about five years ago. Some months after that, he was resurrected by a Ghost, who you may now know as Glint.
This new Lightbearer took the name Crow, and - after significant personal development - joined up with the Guardians.
Also I never noticed glint sits on his shoulder in this cutscene that’s really fucking cute
Let me do that with my ghost bungie!!
He needs a hug!!
Remember, when one is resurrected, they have no memories. Crow is functionally a different person.
Bungie had to spend about four years explaining this to people.
Even now you still get the occasional "crow bad he killed cayde" person
How did they resurrect? Is it from the traveller?
Ghost
Ghosts resurrect
Individual gets the power of the light with no memory of the person they were
All guardians are like that
Glint, the Ghost.
It's... what they do.
The Traveler made the Ghosts, the Ghosts resurrect the people.
Oh yeah
Some might luck out and have some clue to who they used to be, like Ana
So we are immortal
As long as our Ghost lives.
Unless ghost is destroyed?
Exactly

She was literally rezzed in the Bray facility with her name tag on her
Oh okay
There’s also some cases where a guardian is just rendered completely dead even if the ghost is fine
The most important question I want to know
Like being killed with a devourer bullet
The original thorn was capable of this
The scorn crossbow that shot Cayde’s ghost Sundance was also loaded with one
The rifleman just made the last minute decision to kill the ghost just to have the satisfaction of watching Cayde die the old fashioned way
I actually have a list on how to kill guardians pinned in this channel
You also have a Petra list
HUH
How’s it going
the Petra shit list
Did you mention her taking a cheap shot at Crow during WR
I hate her
Because she just shits on him for Riven’s actions for no reason
not enough space
It’s a list
wait, I have nitro now
message space
what was the jab again?
I did that and you said it was convenient
the one at the start where she said Ahamkara have a history of eluding him?
Beginning of WR Crow is skeptical of an ahamkara being on earth and Petra responds with saying “they have a history of eluding you”
I don't see no Petra list
I don't think that is pinned
It wouldn’t be
but the Guardian killing list is
Because the moderators hate fun
The lgbt character list isn’t pinned either afaik
That should actually be pinned
Most important question I have to know
How is the story of Osiris becomes savathun?
From beginning to ending pls
@trim grotto
He doesn’t
Osiris went into the Hellmouth during his investigation of the growing Wrathborn threat
Savathun takes his identity to disguise as him and screw with us for the good half of a year
he ended up crashing a ritual where Crota's remaining daughters were swearing fealty to Xivu Arath
then Osiris proceeded to destroy everyone there until Xivu Arath's Hight Celebrant showed up which caused Osiris to be overwhelmed by Xivu's presence
in order to save Osiris, Sagira blew herself up to purge Xivu's presence from the Hellmouth
then Savathun took over Osiris' body while he was vulnerable
then we come in and save him along with Crow who we meet for the first time
neither of us knowing that Savathun is in control
chronologically, this happened like a week after Beyond Light

and for the rest of that year, Savathun was posing as Osiris until the end of the Season of the Lost intro where she revealed herself
The process did also involve Savathun wearing him like a meat puppet so their minds sort of got melded together for a bit
Osiris watched helpless as she moved his body and spoke with his voice
Osiris retained some of her memories after they separated
Savathun tried to suppress Osiris, but he was able to figure out that there was something hidden on Neptune
which led to him becoming obsessed with finding out what it was in Seraph
which then we get some info towards the end of Seraph and then we get Lightfall where we see Osiris' obsession start to take over
hence why throughout Lightfall's story, Osiris was very pushy on finding the Veil
I have so many question
- Osiris before possessed is actually a Guardian?
- Xivu's presence, does that mean Xivu has some sort of mind control?
- How is the process did they manage to separate Osiris and savathun?
- What happened on Neptune? Some sort of mystery?
- Osiris obsession with finding Veil, is it a bad thing? Has he become rogue/villain?
- What powers do savathun have?
Osiris had always been a guardian yes
He was the original warlock vanguard
He’s also wearing sunbracers
- Savathun gave him back to us in exchange for us helping Mara Sov remove her worm
she wasn't really fused with him
Xivu Arath has the power to create wrathborn, completely overriding a subject’s mind to worship and serve her to an incredibly destructive degree
One of the most powerful Warlocks in history.
Sort of. Made you very aggressive, blind with rage.
Magic! It was part of the deal between Sav and Mara for the exorcism.
A lot. Colony ship crashed, they found the Veil, so on.
No, no, and no.
A lot. She's a Hive god and a Lightbearer.
Arguably in some cases I think it can be considered more dangerous than taken, because not only does it horribly mutate given enough time, but it can also infect machines
- During the Collapse, Savathun killed Nezarec and took the Veil to Neptune where she hid it from the Witness
Osiris’ very intense desire to find the secret on Neptune just came from his insecurities and lashing out in grief
Savathun possesses a LOT of knowledge on Hive magic (and probably a lot of other Darkness-based phenomenon) and on the Light (due to her experimentation with Ghosts)
He didn’t give himself proper time to mourn Sagira and just wanted to prove he wasn’t “useless” without his light anymore
He’s always been a brash and reckless person, and the loss of Sagira multiplied it
By the end of the LF campaign he mellows back out and gives himself time to actually process his loss
Osiris's obsession was mildly self-destructive and he even compared himself with Maya Sundaresh who was also obsessed with the Veil
people tend to criticize Osiris for how he acted during Lightfall, but they never really considered why he was like that
they just focus on the fact that he was annoying
Also like apparently everybody forgot that Seraph happened because he was literally the same in there
well to be fair there were probably several people who played Lightfall without playing through Seraph (or a lot of other prior seasons/expansions)
What is this "Veil" thing? Is it some sort of artifact? Why does savathun hid it from the witness?
you know the Traveler?
Yes
The Veil is the primordial source of darkness
the Veil is it's Darkness equivalent
Big planet
also a missing piece of the Traveler
You learn about it post-Lightfall campaign in the Veil Logs.

It’s like smaller than a country
but to what extent we can't really say
Mountain sized
Where do I see that?
that means if Wei Ning punched it, it would move
there is a quest that gives you access to the veil COntainment load zone
post-campaign
After doing Parting The Veil, you may return there to hear the logs.
She’d be lasered like Ghaul
Okay one thing at a time
can't even enhance it
Parting the veil is a quest on Neptune?
nah, the Traveler would be chill like that
Where can I get it from?
Complete the story
Then you do other things I think first
Nimbus’ quests
Nimbus should give it to you
Deterministic chaos thing
The post-campaign. Have you finished the main campaign of Lightfall?
Yes, I did say Lightfall.
I do not have strand
complete Lightfall
then you will have it
That'd be why you're unaware, then
Yup
I have the DLC
But I've been lazy lol
I only completed the stasis campaign and pale heart lol
I wish I could replay the BL campaign
What is BL?
you overestimate how much I think it's peak
It was made during the height of the pandemic.
All the good stuff got carved out
I mean at least we got a cool trailer out of it
imagine Bungie revamps it
2020, yeah
Cinematic cover of Paint it Black and everything
like?
They have to revamp Levi first
More Drifter content!!!!
🤝
But also everything about the pouka was cut
All that was left was the teaser and that one pre-rendered cutscene
I am a big Beyond Light enjoyer
I bet you have Splintered huh
the final mission really goes hard
Yeah. And Descendant
Beyond Light made me delete my Awoken Hunter for my Exo Hunter who I still have to this day

I could probably finish a decent amount of them
Cruel World in Witch Queen goes harder
Silence
I think all I need to do for Virtual Fighter is master story mission and 7 minute Partition
-
Savathun without her worm anymore means she's unstopable now?
-
How does she wield The Light? Can u pls explain with detail?
-
Savathun hid the veil from witness, I assume witness got it? So he can use the veil then he becomes more powerful?
-
How did they make the witness, the witness was made from darkness. Does that mean the veil created him?
-
Do you guys know witness species?
She died, actually. She was resurrected after that by Immaru.
Hive kind of need their worms, but the Light can circumvent that need
1 kind of the opposite, she lost her hive god immortality and powers
Question 3 is answered by the campaign
2 she died and ghost resurrected by a ghost
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0CKckjryVI
This answers 4 and 5

the Witness needed the Veil because it needed to link it with the Traveler so it could create a portal to the Pale Heart which would allow it to enact the Final Shape
4 the witness came into being because an ancient civilization decided to use the veil and the traveler to remake the universe in their idealized version of static perfection
Traveler ran away before they could do it, so they merged their minds into a singular entity to embody their ideology
The Pale Heart is the core of the traveller?
it is a world of infinite potential that lies within the Traveler
Huh? Why?
Did the ghost malfunction?
No.
Why do the ghost resurrect a bad person?
Because the ghost is Immaru and Immaru is an asshole

Alright alright hold on let me explain
He got a chance at power and self important and took it
Ghosts can be bad people and he’s a bad person
Simple as
All ghosts were created at the exact same point at the end of the collapse, so it’s not like he was a new one made especially for Savathun
He took the position of Savathun’s ghost willingly and delivered her freshly risen, amnesiac mind right back to her trusted witches to get it
Also he calls himself daddy a lot
It’s not cool
Because it’s a word in the English language?
End of collapse?
When is that?
The collapse
When the black fleet descended on humanity and almost caused our extinction
Long before the events of the game take place
How did the writer came up with the idea to call a robot himself as a "daddy"?
I can't be bothered typing so have this
Ghosts are entirely sentient beings. They're... people. Just as drones.
To Mercury we go!
Destiny music is uploaded here purely for archival reasons and to give players a way to hear the full in-game mixes of tracks. If Bungie or anyone working at Bungie have any issues with videos on this channel or the channel itself please contact me and I'll remove them immediately.
You can purchase and download the official D...
Ghosts are sapient creatures like us
They’re not robots
They were not constructed by human hands
The traveler is essentially their mother

ACTUALLY
I have
The perfect gif for this
BEHOLD
VISUAL AID
It was like this
you need the mp3
Is this from red war?
So the traveller hasn't reproduce anymore ghost since then?
It was the first and only time ghosts were ever made
Correct
All ghosts were created at that specific moment
There were none made before or since

It was the traveler’s ultimate declaration of defiance against the witness
So anyway to get back to the point

“Immaru” as he recently named himself has always been around
He was never really a great person
Wait wait wait
He apparently used to just bully other ghosts when they first appeared
Maybe he has some self esteem issues but regardless
Savathun gave him the opportunity to get in a position of power and he took it
Traveller vs witness occured long before the game was created?
Yeah
Like WAY before
Destiny is far off in the future
In the Destiny timeline humanity only first encounters the traveler around our currently timeframe
Then the age of human advancement thanks to the traveler called the Golden Age is a few centuries long
Then the collapse happens because the witness ruins everything
Then a few centuries of everything being fucked up because there’s a bunch of immortal weirdos with god powers running around and also aliens are invading (dark age)
Lightfall strand subclass takes place in which planet?
Neptune.
Neptune
We discussed this

No, that is an unknown planet from millions or billions of years ago in an unknown galaxy.
Fair enough
They secretly avoided the brunt of the collapse as it happened
Their city has been able to safely grow and develop ever since the collapse without intervention
With the help of traveller?
Until LF happens and Calus parks a ship in the middle of the road
Neptune was hidden from all but the Vex.
And also Soteria, a submind of Rasputin
