Well they’re “working” on a way to get themselves bodies
so xur isn’t apart of the nine?
He’s their unpaid intern
And he also got kidnapped by Starhorse to help host Dares
Working double shifts for no benefits
he's a jovian, he is descended from humans but mutated
He’s not sick
He just got his spine broken by a guardian once
That same guardian later became the emissary by the way
So not only is working for the Nine an HR nightmare, but there are no healthcare benefits
🤣
Also canna a stupid question but if the guardian was in the chu chu Charles world would they win
Did the mc in the game win?
Yeah
Yea the guardian could probably win
just finished act 2 and im so confused. Who is maya sunderesh? and how did she get lakshmis body? did i miss something?
i should have finished byfs 10 hour vid
Yeah
Play the Lightfall campaign postgame quest
which one is that
Same area you fight calus
i cant find it
as soon as i start to think i understand whats going on in destiny this shi happens
I'm not familiar with Maya lore but here's what I know
She was a Golden Age researcher that was involved with Braytech and the Ishtar Collective. When studying the Vex, she found 227 copies of herself and the other Ishtar researchers, and those copies were sent back into the Vex network to explore. During/after(?) the Collapse, she went to Neptune and helped found Neomuna. Also at some point she did experiments with Exos and one of these experiments involved putting her consiousness in an Exo named Lakshmi or some shit
lmao i wish that they kept all the seasonal content so i could catch up on it
lakshimi was the FWC leader in d1 i think
thats why im confused as to when she got ahold of the bodyu
Yuh
She was also there when Eliksni destroyed London after the Collapse
Part of why she's so racist
No idea why Sundaresh is wearing Lakshmi's face as the Conductor instead of her original form though
boutta watch some more byf vids
She'll reveal in Act 3 that it was cheaper to reuse a model and rehire a voice actor more convenient to use a body that had Radiolaria in it already
looooolll
Noooooo please read the lore
The lore is straight fire
I just linked you a hub to every piece of Sundaresh lore ever
Read that instead 🙏
where
i read it
1sec I'll get it in chronological order
i have mad respect for the lore community
idk how they can look through every item and piece together stories
Nah that's just the summary
The real lore is in the linked articles
Complete Destiny Timeline Part 1 Beginning of Time through Destiny 1 Before Time The Flower Game: The Gardener and the Winnower play the Flower Game (Unveiling: Gardener and Winnower). It is possible (but unclear) that the Ahamkara/Worms were present at this time, as the Gardener listens to “the ...
Ctrl+F for "sundaresh" for the articles in rough chronological order
alr bet
naw bruh
221 pages for part 1 is crazy
i really like the time frames and the years they give
destiny makes it seem like everything happened within 100 years or some
The story that follows our Guardian happens in real time
It's not that bad
Sundaresh pre-227: Tractor Cannon, the Ghost Fragment: Vex tabs
Sundaresh as one of the 227: Aspect: Volitive, Clovis Bray's Logbook — Missing Pages

Neomuna: read Neomuna lore
Complete Destiny Timeline Part 2 Destiny 2 to The Final Shape Destiny 2 – Year 4 (Season 1) (September 6, 2017) Time: Time is difficult to measure, but the City was around for at least 10 lightless generations before the Red War (Triage: LYSIS). Given other time references, it is very unlikely t...

Don't treat the timelines as gospel 🙏 they exist to guide you to primary sources

Do the krill still exist or did they all become hive
Only one was exempt from that and she’s almost certainly dead now
Savathun is still a hive even though she lost her worm, it’s not like there was a transformation for losing it
Is there somewhere I can read about her
Just plug in “Taox” to the Ishtar collective search
Thx
What's going to happen to the pyramids after the Witnesses death?
Like the old planes in the Mothyards, abandoned
They can't be used or scavenged?
we've rarely been able to do as little as scratch a single pyramid ship
Pyramids? What Pyramids? There's never been any Pyramids in Destiny, you're crazy
is it safe to presume all echoes have the same power?
No, the Echo the Conductor has is specifically called "Echo OF Command"
So that means there are Echoes of other things
if fikrul has become a monster in contact of the diamond
then
probs echo of power or something
I feel the Echo Fikrul has will tie into his beliefs
That anything can be made into a tool to be wielded
It sounds like Revenant will conclude Fikrul's story, so I really hope that the idea of him being our antithesis is used
so how did Calus force the Traveler to give him light
Riht sorry
He siphoned the Light forcefully with the cage
Okay what happened after we beat him
He burst
he turned into a milk giant and the traveler destroyed him
"Traveler! Do you see me now?" indeed it did
ah man i miss red war
When the small things mattered
im not really sure but im gonna guess cassoid or omolon
I think its Tex Machina
Omolon has 3
Give list

Name them
Telesto
Erinas Vow
Dead Messanger
Incentive
Im not countng ships so
I think thats five
No just 4 ig
manticore its self counts as 20 so veist wins
the ice breaker shotgun people forget about
throw it off the tower
No
first 3 exotic swords from D1 were made with Cassoid materials
They were? Thought it was helium fragments, motes of light, and oryx sword
Helium Filaments I think were for Raze-Lighter specifically
Nuh uh
the other swords needed other materials
and you did need that stuff, but you also needed to wait for a Cassoid shipment to progress
How Many Exotic Weapons Every Weapon Foundry Has
The Black Armory - 3
Brave Arsenal - 0
Cassoid - 4
Crux - 3
Daito - 2
Field Forged - 0
Häkke - 1
MIDA - 1
Nadir - 1
Omolon - 3
Suros - 1
Tex Machina - 5
Veist - 2
The Infinite Forge - 0
you got Fabian Strategy and Tlaloc from D1 right?
Fabian - Hakke
Tlaloc - Omolon
Im going off the lists
so if theyre not included sorry
Can a single Vex travel back in time?
Vex don't exactly time travel
funny thing about the Vex
they are time traveling robots, but they don't time travel nor are they robots
basically they give off the illusion of time travel using their very powerful simulation capbilities
fake ass mfs
there was a lore entry that described a Vex teleporting as "rewriting history"
... theyre not robots???
the "robots" you see walking around shooting you are merely constructs piloted by the Vex
what the Vex really are is what is contained within the Radiolaria
the Vex Milk
can I drink Radiolaria
yes, but not a good idea
Vex can convert people into Vex
Fully Aware
drinking the Milk is a sure-fire way to make that happen
Fully Aware
it taste like seawater
Just wondering if you actually COULD drink it
Oh sick
Conductor, put the mask back on
Again
The Maya that mind melded (???) with Lakshmi turned out to be racist
One of the 227 Mayas, I assume, is the Conductor
Another one of the 227 Mayas tortured Clovis Bray for info on Clarity Control
227???
RACIST???
During the Golden Age, Maya was part of the Ishtar Collective research team, and she discovered 227 simulated copies of herself and her team in the Vex network
Those 227 copies went on to do some crazy shit
They went back into the network to do research
A lot of them died
One of them tortured Clovis Bray
A lot of them met Praedyth, one of the members of the VoG fireteam that got lost
This loretab covers some of what they did, same with the rest of the lorebook Aspect

Here's how it goes: you and Maya and Shim and Duane-McNiadh take your first cautious, sliding steps out into the Vex information network. You get your footing. You've got to translate everything into metaphor to understand it, here, and this is like tightrope walking on a greased line. You and Maya lean into each other. Shim slips, and ...
As for racism
During Splicer, the Eliksni came to the City for shelter and Lakshmi wasn't happy about it, to say the least
Think about it from her perspective though
You watch humanity fall. Some bug fuckers arrive from outer space and start killing humans. You take shelter in one of the last cities still standing. The bug fuckers burn your city to the ground for shits and giggles. They continue to terrorize humanity for hundreds (thousands?) of years. Now they want to come to the heart of the actual last city when they're in trouble?
Ikora had a really insightful take on it
The lingering trauma of centuries. Ransom cannot get out of its shadow. Part of me cannot either.
...In this gap lives the idea of "qualia," the first-person experiences of the mind. You cannot describe or communicate qualia; you can only have them.
Is there an explanatory gap between knowing the history of Eliksni violence against humanity and living through it? Is there a gap between experiencing full-sensorium captures of that night and actually being there, in London, when the Devils finally broke the wall?
There must be. Qualia of pain and hate.
...I wonder if Ransom would still push for the "complete extirpation of invasive Fallen from the system" if he lost his memory of all those centuries, if he had to relearn it all from books. What if he were like a newborn Guardian again? Richly educated on our bleak history with the Eliksni, but not scarred by the experience of it?
Would he still arrive at the same unshakeable conviction that they all have to go?
Or would he be missing some irreducible qualia, some pearl grown around the grit of first-person suffering?
Man Defends Bug Racism
Asked never to cook again ❤️
How does that even work???
like their simulations are so accurate that it's as if they time travel
How does that affect the real timeline?
the Vex desire to bring their simulations into reality
they use the simulations as a baseline I think
keep in mind I don't really recall the full explanation
So do they have the power to create alternate Timelines?
Or is Saint a Vex Simulation?
Vex lore is just weird ok
I agree
how does a vex simulation work
so drinking milk i turn into a vex which will then allow me to Time travel
there is a slight side effect of death though
i would like to see this proof of 'side effect of death' from consuming vex milk
Yeah cuz death is something guardians fear
well, in this case, it is
ever heard of Asher Mir or Kabr the Legionless
No
Kabr the Legionless consumed the radiolarian fluid of the Oracles within the Vault of Glass, and was forcibly turned into a Vex.
Asher Mir was injected with Radiolaria, and was slowly turning into a Vex himself, as was his Ghost.
So the fluid of the oracles overrides the ghost
There were also Radiolaria related experiments back in the golden age
Two of the Braytech Confidential entries related to it
Destiny is a grimdark cosmic horror and the only thing that prevents you from realizing it is that you're something like chosen chaos space marine in warhammer
change my mind
For instance: Vault of Glass
we destroyed the Witness who was the embodiment of shitty nihlism
And turned an entity made out of concept into a tea
Nezarec wasn't really a concept
Mithrax took the Primordial Darkness from his corpse parts and distilled it into the tea
One of the saddest part in there is "The bug fuckers burn your city to the ground for shits and giggles. They continue to terrorize humanity for hundreds (thousands?) of years." part is partially influenced by the entity that orchestrated humanity's fall
still cosmic entity got turned into something like teabag
not exactly
and Destiny can be dark, but I don't think it qualifies as Grimdark
it ain't edgy
fair.
not consistently but there is some edgy lore
yeah, but not overly edgy
for instance: ramen, root of nightmares lore
true
at least not for the sake of being edgy either
then again, Warhammer has kids books
also: community of intelligent armaments
Wait Mithrax did fucking what
Season of Plunder was about us retrieving relics that were pretty much containers holding parts of Nezarec's corpse
freaky
we end up getting all of them and at that point, Mithrax started being guided by the whispers from them
he used his knowledge of the relics and as a Splicer to distill the potent Primordial Darkness that emanated from the relics
so he made darkness tea
the result was a tea that was given to Osiris to wake him up from the coma Savathun put him under
it also seems like this procedure had a negative effect on Mithrax
oh?
he's basically dying
NOOOO
like has been and it's becoming more apparent
speakers sight
Also
How EXACTLY
does the Pyramid shard give stasis
like is it because its the darkness?
because I kinda thought the darkness subclasses was Darkness kinda filtered through light
the splinter seems to be the Witness' way of directly giving someone the ability to harness Stasis
but pretty much anyone can learn to use it even without it
did uh
Evil Bug Lady learn
whats her name
Eramis?
I think after her defeat in Beyond Light and her release a year later she might have actually properly learned to harness Stasis
do the relics increase your stasis power
no, the Witness just needed Nezarec's body parts for an undisclosed reason
?
maybe so it can try and learn where the Veil went from him
oh the Splinters
which grant it
I think the Splinters may be a sort of shortcut
like it allows you to harness Stasis without needing to actually learn how to wield it
which is why Stasis turned on Eramis when she was defeated
at least that's my thoughts on it
like Eramis was not in a very good spot mentally when she was beaten (she wasn't really doing to well thoughout the entire BL campaign really)
the Splinter seemed to be the only thing allowing her to keep control
so when it failed she had nothing else to fall back on since her mental state was at a breaking point
I always thought the splinters were a similar connection to our ghosts with the light.
But through true mastery you could learn to wield darkness without the need for a splinter.
Another theory would be the splinters are the original mechanism for acquiring stasis. To "activate" it within a being. Like how with strand, we first found it when in proximity to the veil.
All light comes from the traveler but darkness seems to come from multiple different sources.
Now that the Witness is dead shouldnt Stasis be much safer to use?
Or rather learn
It is still a neutral force and just like with strand I'd imagine it's got a danger to it if you can't control it.
Like ikora was teaching Zavala how to use stasis and ikora has also mentioned that there have been "bad reactions" to it.
Our original concern was that it leads to corruption as we have seen in dark future and well also Eramis
Corrupted how though? I'm sure the witness could corrupt through darkness but to my knowledge we never saw what the dark future lore actually meant by that.
Stasis is all about control anyway, that entire mindset can potentially be inherently somewhat corruptive even without an influence behind it
In my mind it'd be similar to what the weavers and attendants are like. All covered in darkness and completely taken over by those energies and then manipulated by the witness.
Also darkness
but whys it just
Floating around Neomuna
I understand the Splinters awakening something
but Strand?
Its possibly because of the Veil
what even is the veil?
Darkness thingy
Regardless if thats real or fake its a potential leak
Sorry sorry
Oh also what IS the Final Shape
is it just Eternal Stasis?
for everything
Stasis in the literal sense not in the destiny subclass sense
But yes
Basically everything gets "frozen" (not literally ice) in place for eternity
No new life
No death of existing life
Basically a gigantic pause button
You saw a glimpse of it in the Final Shape opening cutscene
You are also "reshaped" into a form that witness deems suitable.
If you want a really dumbed down version the witness is basically lord business from the Lego movie with the glue.
my mind rn
That actually makes so much sense
Thats kinda what it offered us at the end of the campaign
We get to choose how exactly we end up being frozen in time
In the Witnesses mind thats somehow a disirable thing
I love being frozen™️
Because it's a life without pain or suffering. It did say when the witness was formed that it culled its doubts and fears into one being with an indomitable will. So it probably didn't understand that death and suffering is what gives life purpose to an extent and is part of the universe.
I know the Witnesses weird ideas yes
They are obviously wrong
After the Final Shape there would not be a point in "living"
Being forever stuck in place unable to do anything
It goes beyond boring existence id be torture
Purgatory would probably be a better word for it
whats the lore behind king's fall raid
yes i just started playing 1 month ago so i dont know much
After the events of the Taken King campaign, we go to kill Oryx for good
it chronologically happened before any destiny 2 events, it's from destiny 1.
oryx, the final boss of the raid, was the father of crota, another hive god. crota was overall causing trouble on the moon so we killed him (crota's end raid). something something oryx sought revenge and came to our system, we weaken him during the campaign and finish him in the raid
So we make our way through his Dreadnaught, dismantling more of his tribute system as we kill the Warpriest, Golgoroth and his daughters
It’s just a thing you can do for the loot and experience of it
epic
And then we kill him
so we kill a big part of the hive family? epic
Everyone except Xivu and Savathun and one of Savathun’s kids are all dead
And his foster son and his dog
absolutely fw that

some ytber said it is because there were armour ornaments representing each subclass and one of them is called finality, so just a brainstorm lol
who is the ultimate hive/krill that we havent killed yet 🤔
Xivu Arath I suppose
The Hive God of War
so there are other "gods" of hive?
Oryx, Savathûn and Xivu Arath
They were siblings and the first of the Hive
So they are considered the Hive’s gods
i mean we're gonna kill xivu in heresy
Maybe
or legends never die who knows lol
(Excepting the Worm Gods who are gods to the Hive but not literally Hive themselves ofc)
I mean they are worms so yeah ofc they are different
anyways the next saga will either be finishing up the rest of the darkness/second golden age/expansion of the city/vex/bray family/entire franchise is done
Unless
can you "Create" a new super?
He used golden gun like it was a well, like a support
More similar to Acrobat's Dodge, but this was before that dodge existed. Also, it was with his Golden Gun, it wasn't a dodge.
uhh
He pressed the barrel to the ground, fired, and it empowered the rifles of the Frames fighting alongside him.
frames?
ohhhh
shaw han is a loser i wish he didnt exist. horrible boring character shitty design
Yes yes, tutorial character boring. We've heard it before.
Shaw Han has had some interesting moments in the lore before, however. He's an interesting example of a fairly standard Guardian of moderate feat.
i just think it would be better if new light in d2 was like the beginning of the first destiny game where you just have to find a ship and go to the tower
I call him a fraud because he’s wearing great hunt armor and bones which would indicate he actually participated, but they were just bought from a street vendor
he looks like
Riley Robinson
from Subnautica
Kinda
If a guardian got a tattoo or something, would they be revived with it?
Zavala has those marks on his neck
That was before, though, right?
i believe if you make any changes to your body (tattoos, haircuts, etc) you’ll have them if you get revived
The long and short of it is that we don't actually know. There are tattoos, but they're pre rez tattoos. We've seen Lightbearers with a beard or new hairstyle, so presumably that stays. But tattoos? No clue.
So changes to guardians stay after revival? I don’t see why that wouldn't be the case, but I just wanted to check
I mean yeah
The “perfect template” thing is just a random theory
Ghosts don’t even need to know how the guardian’s body is built or functions for a rez
They just come back
There was actually one time that Shaxx hit a guardian so hard they sustained damage even after a rez
What I mean is, we've only got haircuts to use as an example.
We haven't seen any tattoos or similar examples to refer to.
the ghost revives remind me of the Ultimatrix
and how it'd always revert ben into his green jacket and black shirt
even if he transformed while wearing something else
if a guardian starved to death would they still be hungry after being revived
probably not
yes
though Ghosts can negate the effects of Hunger
That is exactly why Drifter acts like he has pika.
He starved to death a lot in the Dark Ages, and woke up still hungry each time.
im curious what are some examples of him acting like he has pika
I’m not up to speed on the story rn for echoes
But how is Maya evil
Wasn’t she a golden age researcher
Or whatever
Friends with the chioma esi person
when she first discovered the Veil on Neomuna, she grew obsessed with it
pretty much turning into the bad person Clovis Bray was
having a total disregard for the lives of others
they're married
it seemed like Chioma was there before Maya
but they were recognized as Neomuna's founders
Is chioma dead?
Presumably. They were Golden Age scientists. Even the original Maya would be.
It is basically his most famous trait. Play Gambit, you'll see what I mean in his intro lines.
oh, like him talking about eating aliens?
it seems like the Conductor is the real one
Among other things
From what I’ve heard it seems like some kind of mix?
Maya messed with the Veil and was presumed dead so Chioma hid all the Veil research away and then thre herself into the Vex network where it seemed like the two reunited
are there any 👽 aliens in Destiny?
Like the echo just fell into a radiolaria reservoir and everyone that could tried to reach out to it
aside from the witness
You’re never going to believe this
aliens that look like grey aliens?
But the giant bug people are in fact aliens
elaborate
Grey Aliens 😭
like the one in the emote
the witness' species is the only one that kinda looks like a grey alien
YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN GRAHHHH
It’s grey
Guess
I alr said besides the witness
"grey aliens" are an entirely different kind, they are a kind of "stereotypical" alien found in many mainstream sci-fi things
thank you John Halo
I know what a stereotypical Martian is
that would be the "little green men" type :-]
No.
dang
If I'm not mistaken, humanity's first experience with an alien force would be the Traveler, followed by the Vex, and then the K1 Anomaly and Clarity Control.
... Alien Force?
Yes?
whats the K1 Anomaly
Some black fleet object I think
oh?
Of course golden age humanity didn’t have any clue what they were looking at
But it whispered to Clovis and told him to go to Europa
An amorphous Darkness artifact. Not that we knew what Darkness was at the time.
And low and behold he found the veiled statue which he dubbed Clarity
Clarity is
Clarity Control, specifically. The force it emanated was dubbed Clarity.
literally just what he called the statue
He also didn’t have any clue what it was
They’re from everywhere pyramids are
First appeared in Shadowkeep
i forgot that dlc exsisted
They didn’t represent Dissenters until FS where they were actually able to speak
Yes. One arrived on Europa 20 years prior to Clovis, in the Golden Age.
Every other time they were just statues the witness used as sort of transmitters for itself
Whats the Aeon Cult
Some guys obsessed with generating heavy ammo
nah jk idfk if theres even lore on them
My people
ad clear rocket users
Based
Based on my enjoyment
Based on how fucking sick they are?
So Ahamkaras can theoretically grant their own wishes right?
Sure, in theory.
Any clue why they dont?
Yes. They die.
That's what happened to Taranis.
But couldnt they just wish for immortality
iirc wish magic is basically limitless in its capabilities
It's absolutely limited. It took the combined Wish of 6 Guardians to Wish the Dreaming City Curse into place.
It took Variks to turn that into something greater than it was
man accidentally made zombies
But I didnt know that actually
"let me fuck around with this evil lich guy and some corpses this'll go well"
On the topic of wishes actually
Did we ever figure out how the wish wall functions?
Like how did they pull that off
we just know shit
nono
I mean how does the machine work
Throw some funny symbols in the air and boom wish
not exactly a device that grants wishes
Basically Mara made the symbols to create a very tightly sealed phrase to be used as a Wish
Like writing a detailed contract for a genie wish
It sends that to Riven
So its just perfectly said so the usual side effects of wishes dont apply
you take your wish, and you convert it to the symbols which you input into the wall
what it does is it limits Riven's ability to mess with the wish
That's the idea yeah
Wish dragons really are a funky side of destiny lore
Quick recap of season of the wish
Did Riven die?
I didnt play at all during that seasons
her spirit is pretty much gone now
even with the Techeun summoning ritual, she only had enough strength for the Last Wish (and I guess Crow's wish to meet Cayde)
How come
She just got old over the years or what
Well she was already dead
She wasn't brought back to life, it was her spirit that was summoned
Ahamkara transcend death
mhm
Dead dead
Such as it is to an Ahamkara
their remains can hold wish-granting power, but it is very diminished at that point
bringing Riven's spirit back ensures she can grant the Last Wish
That I know from the "few" Ahamkara related exotics
and Ahamkara do need to use energy to grant the wish
And what was all that stuff about her offspring/ the egg
which is why Riven's spirit faded away after granting the Last Wish
she had a clutch of eggs in secret with Taranis
and she wanted them safe
Thats the bro in the garden ye?
she basically forced us to find them all or else she wouldn't grant the Wish
Mara is keeping an eye on them
Do I have to break out the good old wish ender again
she intends on fulfilling Riven's wishes and allowing the eggs to hatch when the time comes
hopefully, Taranis' will lives on through them
in that they will be good like him
I was about to say that doesnt sound like that solid of a plan ngl
eh, I guess we'll give it a shot
hmmm
you know, I just remembered that the Nine took to getting rid of any other Ahamkara after Riven got Taken
since they didn't want the same happening to them
I wonder if this was related to Taranis scattering the eggs
I know the Great Hunt and Riven being Taken were both the leading factors in Taranis choosing to grant his own wish
but I also wonder if Taranis (likely unknowingly) saved his clutch from the Nine in doing so
What did he wish for
well you see, when Wish began, we went into Riven;s Lair to retrive the clutch only to find that they are missing
it turned out they were scattered all throughout the Ley Lines
as it turns out, Taranis is the reason for this
Real quick these are not the same eggs we blew up during Forsaken yes?
correct, those ones were corrupted
so the eggs were scattered because Taranis made a wish to keep them safe
it just so happens that was the form the wish took
and since Taranis granted his own wish, he ceased to be
Could another Ahamkara theoretically have granted his wish without dying?
a few things to say for this
- Ahamkara are not known for forming good bonds with each other since they view any other member of their species as competitors. So other Ahamkara would not have any virtuous motive to help him.
competitors for what?
- Taranis was all alone, any other Ahamkara were almost certainly dead or unable to reach him
for their food source which is people wanting wishes
given how Ahamakra feed from the wishes, their food source isn't exactly sharable
- Any other Ahamkara will twist his wish in a bad way. Better Taranis himself granted the Wish so he can guarantee it works out rather than trust another one of his kind (which are known to be deceptive)
Riven couldn't do it herself since she was Taken at the time (and Taranis did not want a part of that)
simply put, there was no way he can reach another Ahamkara from where he was at and even if he did, there was no reason why he could trust them
for reference, he was in his Lair which was in the Black Garden
I see I see
So it might be possible for Ahamkara to grant each others wishes but they all hate each other
Does that really make sense tho?
Wouldnt it just make sense for them to grant each other wishes continously for "food"
what'll happen then?
will we use the Ahamkaras wishes?
and Revive Cayde again
Shes gonna try something stupid, itll backfire and we have to clean it up
As per usual with Mara
The Awoken tend to do stuff like that
🤨 huh
They have worked with Eliksni so using them to kill other Eliksni probably wouldnt have gone so well
So it was prison time instead
whatd mara do here
Cut a deal with Savathun
why
uuuuuh Osiris
nvm
Alright
Why do we keep saving Osiris
Cause bro is amazing at putting himself in situations where we need to bail him out
how many times has he gotten himself in a situation
What?
Mithrax? Nah hes chilling
wait hes not dying?
Would be the first time im hearing of this
someone lying to me bruh
_ _
Men can be queens
Fair
and He is our Bug Queen
@dim minnow can you point me towards some stuff about Mithrax's condition?
he used the SPlicer
He seemed pretty fine in the Final Shape campaign
on Nezarcs? corpse
hes being strong for us

Not dova but wasnt it just numbness when splicing
I have no idea
You tell me lmao
—
Mithrax moved carefully through the Hangar. The thrum of idling grav drives and hissing pneumatic lifts made his aching head throb. He squinted toward the interface setup at the far end of the docking bay and stopped short; even amidst the cacophony, Saint's absence was jarring.
Mithrax cast his gaze down as a dusty gray pigeon bobbed indigna...
Certainly not healthy
On one hand maybe
On the other I don’t think I want every Eliksni character to be forced into the episode
As long as we get Variks i'll be fine
I want Variks and the worm to talk
The Parasite work?
Yes
Cause funny same va or what
Give me the chance to airstrike spider and make room for Mithrax
Wait what
Robin Atkin Downes
He voices spider?
I genuinely did not know that
He was also the bad guy in the most recent ratchet and clank game and got a bad guy opera song
Actually now that I think of it I cant even remember Spiders voice
its come back to me now
Damn
Destiny 2: Season of the Hunt - The Spider Introduces The Crow Meeting The Crow (formerly known as Prince Uldren Sov of the Awoken, now revived as a Guardian bereft of memory)
This dialogue has The Spider explaining Uldren Sov's whereabouts and how he came across him as a newly resurrected Guardian. He also explains how the Crow being employed ...
This is my favorite delivery
He’s such an ass
I dunno
Probably chilling in the last city trying to stay under Mithrax's radar
But what’s funny is that spider is basically just the same performance he had for the second opinion Halloween cosmetic for medic
The Second Opinion is a community-created cosmetic item for the Medic. It gives the Medic a discolored, pale skin graft on the left side of his face. This graft is held in place by a line of visible surgical staples. These staples extend from the Medic's throat, up along the middle of his face, and around the skull to the back of his head, where...
Funny times
I don't hear it
His last appearance in any way, shape, or form was in the lore tab for the Guardian Games Skimmer
thought he was in the post excision inkblot cutscene
alongside variks, with the two of them observing projections of Fikrul and Eramis
What was that about
Basically him receiving a skimmer and they didn’t really know who it was from (although it did say who but it’s a group that hasn’t really been depicted much in the lore)
The Concordat
That’s who it was
Allstar Vector
That’s the Skimmer name
I do wonder if we'll meet the concordat. Maybe even lysander if he's still alive.
Who
Lysander is the leader of the concordat
The crucible map bannerfall is the aftermath of a fight guardians had because of him.
Oh was that this 4th faction that lives in the old tower
Yes. I need to read the lore again but I believe they rose up against the speaker and plotted a coup. This resulted in a faction war involving guardians.
Fun fact I think cayde came up with the name "Lysanders fall" for the map but others wanted no record of his name around so it was called bannerfall instead.
I dont recall them having this much lore lmao
But that does sound like the potential plot we thought would happen in Splicer
A concordat banner was in the hall of champions during into the light. So I think we will get something about them at some point.
The skimmer was a peace offering from them but eva Levante just decided to redo the paint job with guardian games colours.
Based Eva
Thing is I dont really see them appear in the ingame narrative anytime soon
Episode 2 and 3 dont exactly seem like they'd fit in there
maybe Frontiers but eh
Me neither. But I could see a side plot involving them.
Like a story told through lore books and in game items.
Yeah thats always a possibility
On the note of side stories
Whats Shayura up to these days
I have no idea lol. I'm guessing still hunting dark wielding guardians?
Last thing I remember hearing about her was during the Witch Queen days when she was put into therapy
When she lost it properly after meeting a hive guardian
Sounds like she's gone off the deep end then. Maybe even to an extent she could be dangerous.
Another side plot I'm curious about is jana 14 the Warlock researcher and "mother" for the osteo striga.
I really want to see more weapons of sorrow or even armour pieces tied to sorrow like necrotic grips.
they were replaced by FWC
oh?
Concordat's coup was foiled by New Monarchy at Bannerfall
after that, they were removed from the Last City
then FWC was chosen to take their place
Ah
The artefact as it's called yeah. Kept discharging and she became obsessed with it to the point she studied her dying colleague as they were being corrupted. No actual confirmation if it was the original thorn or something else though.
My theory is that it was what became the necrotic grips and yor was attempting to wield the darkness energy from thorn without the need for a weapon.
should be noted that there is no way Jana got her hands on the real Thorn
Shin Malphur kept the real Thorn hidden away for years until he allowed us to obtain it
then we promptly purified it back into Rose which we then transformed into Lumina
"promptly" the Lumina quest sitting in my inventory for months before I bothered to use it
The original thorn was so dark that incantations were placed on the inside of the chest even to keep it contained.
And it's noted that holding it made our guardian visibly sick.
so Jana stole it from you while you weren't looking, then gave it back without you noticing?

I hope we get more lore and even more exotics that use what I'm just going to call sorrow from now on tbh.
Are there guardians who blur the lines between classes in terms of their abilities?
Yes kinda
Efrideet kinda went full titan and threw saladin at a fallen walker.
But as for actual light or even dark abilities no.
it can be argued that what she did was an altered version of the arcstrider throw super
I meant like half one class half the other
Not really no.
The classes are pretty set in stone it seems. Only thing that blurs the line now is the light and dark abilities of those classes.
Oh yeah @dim minnow now that I have you here
Whats Shayura up to
She still in Guardian therapy?
she's been released and put under the supervision of her fireteam
they even went out on a mission
we get to see it ingame too
Lightfall opening cinematic
Lightfall?
yeah, in the opening cinematic
Wait dont tell me shes one of the guardians that got killed by the Witness
she wasn't killed
Oh thank god
but she was one of the three ships the Witness sliced
Damn she survived that?
I was about to say
Guess the Titan we literally saw get sliced was Reed then...
Man
What does the Witness have against Titans
First Joxer now Reeed
Well other way around but you get my point
so you already know the Titan killed at the start of Deep is Joxer
Yeah
Did we get a shot of her in person or do we just know she was part of those ships
we have reason to believe that she was seen in the Seraph finale cinematic
since we know Reed was in the D1 Titan armor in the Lightfall opening and we see a Titan wearing that armor behind Zavala in the Seraph finale
and there are 2 other guardians in D1 armor standing with him in that chutscene
Neat
she might have said something about Praxic fire at some point
so that indicates Warlock
Yeah
Also the fact shes a huge crybaby
Generally applies more to Warlocks lets be real

And shes obviously not a Titan
We dont go to therapy, we bottle it all up and either become evil or go on an endless war against everyone
Shoutouts to my bros Rezzyl and Saint
RIP reed then considering what the witness did in the lightfall opening.
Yeah
And then Amanda hit the wreckage of that same ship it looked like.

I do wonder what that must have been like. Like there's a planes that go down and then there's having your ship go down and re enter earths atmosphere.
you may have said it first, but I said it louder therefore it is my joke
Amanda's one of the most skilled pilots in the lore she probably handled it fine
Not to be disrespectful here but it was high time her luck ran out
Shes been flying air support for years against enemy races known for building city block sized military bases
though it didn't stop the Shadow Legion from scooping her up
How she hasnt been blown clean out of the sky years ago is nothing short of a miracle
Unfortunately without her ship there's only so much the chaperone can do. Not the most useful PvE weapon after all
fun fact, the whip crack from the weapon is canon
It better be
It was a body shot though tbf.
meaning that all other sound effects from weapons are canon
Bro was running low res
uuuuh
Yeah sure whatever
I take the yeehaw noise from my dmt being canon
if the Chaperone's is canon, no reason why DMT's shouldn't be
🤠
You know something interesting is that Amanda and ikora are the only ones who one hand their shotguns. Saint holds his with both hands.
Ikora has a busted deadpan delivery that doesn't even need pumping lol
he's one-handed Perfect Paradox before
in the cutscene where he exits the Infinite Forest back in Dawn
one handing shotguns looks stupid anyway
Makes them feel like they shoot wet blankets
True but definitely not the extent of range ikora or Amanda has.
Executing a vex that's laying right next to you wouldn't really need two hands
Again I dont see why you would one hand a shotgun anyway
Same reason people sometimes hold guns sideways or fan fire with revolvers It looks cool and you aren't going for accuracy. You're trying to spray shots so whatever is around you tries to hide instead of shooting back
Shes with cayde in this gif
Amanda
Amanda Holliday
Right
she's a highly skilled pilot
bruh
But thats the thing
Shotguns are so clunky one handing them makes it look stupid
Like best in the tower level if skilled
I get that but 😭 isnt she lightless
so?
Realistically the best pilot in the system couldnt even glance at a proper Cabal outpost without being blown to bits but this is a video game
Could sure
Will? I doubt it
there are 2 likely explanations to this
Why
that'd be so cool
- Amanda is just that skilled
- Cabal are just that [redacted]
She explained it pretty well at one point.
She knows she's lightless but in her ship she's just as powerful as any other guardian.
The highly skilled pilot when I press the target lock and fire button on my car park sized anti air installation
Spaceflight is super cool and it could make for a few interesting missions
Bungie has done it before
They havent?
Halo Reach
... did Bungie do reach?
Oh Halo
Yeah they did
Also id be like impossible to implement into Destiny
With so insanely many different ships
the installations probably got sabotaged too
I can fly this
YEAH
ROCK FLOORS AND BENCHES AND BED
PLEASE BUNGIE
Destiny just isn't that kind of game unfortunately. The best we'll get is cutscenes with our ship
i crashed mine in one ❤️
I like to imagine that the inside of Radiant Accipiter is kind of like a pocket dimension of sorts
i owe so much money to the insurance company
since the ship itself is paracausal
Maybe but she has also flown in active warzones where there wasnt exactly time to sabotage defenses beforehand
okay how tf do people Imbue light into guns bruh
I man again, really good piloting
It is. Crow talked about it. It's like just hovering inside of a pocket of space pondering.
Dumb luck
where was this voice line?
Lemme try and find it
Crow needs to hit the Los Santos barbers my guy
Final Shape I think
wasn't it in one of the Lost Ghost quests?
Or that
I do recall him talking about the ship during the FS campaign or post campaign
This was before FS
I know he said something about how while it is his ship he lets us use it whenever
for a skilled guardian its second nature
Once youve learned how to use the light you can do a lot of stuff with it
we simply want our gun to kill
Wdym
How does Omolon do it
They dont?
I mean, Light can be quantified with the right instruments
I dont think Omolon ever produced guns that utilise light
Hard Light?
You know what I mean 😦
Theres actual light in hard light?
Tlaloc might since its perk lets it change damage type
idk, it's just the name
I got a gun called escape velocity
And I havent left the planet shooting that thing yet
huh
according to the weapon's grimoire card in D1, a THanatonaut did help in creating it
Hard Light got a 97% 😭
and it has been stated a few times here before that the Last City walls are pumped with Paracausal energy via pipes
Iirc it's a lore book where he's just pondering himself after savathun showed him his past. And glint is there as well I think
Huh
There is no true cockpit inside the Radiant Accipiter; the ship's canopy projects an image to the pilot. No frame, no obstructions, just the infinite gulf. Crow stares up at the blackness between a cluster of stars he can't identify; he wishes he were there. Where nothing is known, where everything can be new again.
from the Season of the Lost Ripples lore book
Damn
