I liked the ending of this season, and the fact that Sav left Immaru with us is something I was genuinely surprised by

I also heard a single bit between Immaru and Savathun at the end of Altars that confirms a personal suspicion I've had since last week when we got the bit about Immaru visiting Shaxx- while he talks a big game, he and Savathun aren't on the same page, and he clearly misunderstands some of her intentions

So what he said about understanding why she liked the Crucible is probably completely wrong

I think the mid part of this season had some great convos at the ends of activites, but plotwise everything between the beginning and end was a whole load of nothingburger, nothing really happens aside from Xivu breaking into the Throne World and we're just vaguely tithing for Eris the whole time rather than making tangible progress on any kind of objective in any way (like finding more relics, finding more submind fragments, or even finding out more and more about a mystery like Splicer

so basically:
Immaru rezzes Savathun again and she says "I had that coming" referring to Eris slashing her throat. Ikora then tells Savathun that she has to uphold her end of the bargain and tell us how to follow the Witness. She then tells us that we should already know. Eris isn't happy with this and threatens her. Savathun states that she still has all of her power and that she is no longer strong enough to stop her. That is when we chime and say "I am" (because we have killed her before). Savthun then decides to clarify on what she said. Basically, we already have all that we need and in time it will be revealed to us. Savathun then decides to order Immaru to remain in Vanguard custody to form a sort of agreement. So Savathun leaves and if we feel like she is going to act against us, we can just crush Immaru and sever Savathun's Light.

might have some minor details left out and maybe messed up the sequencing of events, but that's pretty much what happened

The Traveler is a paracausal (magic, such as Light and Darkness) being of still-unknown origin. We have strong reason to believe, however, that it has existed since the birth of the universe.

It's a conscious being that travels from world to world, civilisation to civilisation, and terraforms worlds, makes them habitable, and uplifts civilisations. Such as the Eliksni (Fallen) and Humanity. We had our Golden Ages of technological advancement and peace because of the Traveler.

However, the Winnower and the Black Fleet of Pyramids chased it, and have done for untold eons, and lay waste to all that it uplifts. It destroyed the home of the Fallen, and destroyed ours. When Humanity fell, that was known as the Collapse. It ended when the Traveler pushed back the Witness and the Pyramids, and created the Ghosts.
This is where the Guardians first came from.

Shortly before the initial invasion of the Red War, Drifter and his crew were coincidentally on an ice planet out-of-system. So cold that they would just die where they stood.
They found obelisks that held creatures (and some creatures that roamed the wilds). When near these beings, you would lose your Light. If you died then, you were just... gone.

The crew started getting antsy and tensions were high. As they reached their peak, Ghaul sealed the Traveler - and everyone lost their Light. They didn't know that was the reason, but it set off a fuse.

But it was a renaissance for us. Gambit banks, Motes of Dark, the Derelict. They were all innovated out of that red setting.
