Last season, the final hour, where all the multiple story threads and plots would finally converge and character arcs be given send offs

Story arcs that spent years getting built up were either given to other characters seemingly picked at random or outright forgotten

You can literally just not watch the previous 7 seasons and you wouldn't not understand the significance of anything that happens in S8.

the only thing worse than a bad story is a boring story. Where you make the reader feel as if their time was literally wasted and most of what was spent doing was for nothing

Futurama, despite being a "cartoon" had a reason for plot lines being focused on, and when it gives you the "well that's obviously going to be important later" in fact does

when something happens that is meant to convey an emotional moment, writes it so you can reach the conclusion yourself and let you develop the emotion the writer wants, instead of essentially telling you how you're supposed to feel
